The exotic destination of Maldives was the inspiration for Liliana Montoya Swim‘s latest collection.
The collection presented at Miami Swim Week was designed for a woman with a young spirit and a charming soul. With pastels colors and beautiful flowers to empower women’s nature — including soft textures and gentle embroidery — it was feminine and flirtatious.
Montoya’s collections celebrate the colors of sprawling ocean hues, corals, tropical fish, seaweed, and coastal landscapes. Her signature gold heart ornament adorns many of her pieces, adding her personal warmth, with the heart being the universal symbol of love and romance.

Fashion, by definition, is constantly changing. Trends come and go. But body acceptance is a trend I hope we never lose sight of.
When it comes down to it, fashion is about the clothes: not the bodies beneath. Ultimately, fashion is art that you wear on your body. Fashion makes everyone more beautiful, because we get to choose it. Done correctly (by which I mean when chosen as a personal expression), it expresses just a bit of our soul.

On Saturday, July 22nd 2017, Frankies Bikinis debuted their 2018 Resort Collection, Golden State of Mind, at the SWIMMIAMI Tent in Miami Beach Florida.
More than 400 guests were in attendance, including: celebrities and top social influencers; leading editors and buyers. Models including Kyra Santoro, Josie Canseco, Sofia Jamora and Ashley Moore, took to the stage to strut their stuff in designer Francesca Aiello’s newest collection of sexy, California-inspired swimwear.
Golden State of Mind pulled colors, textures and prints from the natural beauty of the California coast, incorporating breathtaking hues reminiscent of the ocean and soft sunsets.
This season, Frankies Bikinis showed off a sportier side, utilizing new cuts and colors in ultra-flattering fabrics, making each style effortless and adaptable. Francesca’s goal was to create a collection that was transitional, allowing girls to go from the beach to beyond, simply by throwing on a pair of cutoffs. Runway looks were finished by ’90s-inspired accessories including clear boots and furry heels provided by GoJane.

Skin was bronzed to perfection thanks to Skinny Tan and the models’ looks were finished with custom manicures from LVX using Crimson, a deep vivid red polish.
The dreamy stage setup was reminiscent of a giant slumber party, complete with a nostalgia-inducing bed. Backstage, models donned custom silk robes provided by Pretty Robes. Guests enjoyed a unique front of house experience including treatments from beauty sponsors as well as taste goodies from Sugar Factory, including flutes of champagne flavored gummies and sweet, flirty lollipops. VIP guests were gifted with Herschel Supply Co backpacks filled with goodies, all inspired by the slumber party theme.

“Like everything else in the world, I’m evolving,” said Francesca. “I’d like to think that my designs for this collection are who I am as a 22 year old woman — different, new, and more mature than my last. It’s an elevated aesthetic for the Frankies Girl: effortless, edgy, and universally fitting!”

About the Collections
The Joya Collection (Resort 2018) – Known as the mecca of understated boho fashion during the 1970s, Peru is the main inspiration for the Joya Collection (means jewel). From its exotic fruits and flowers, Incan ruins, colonial palaces and indigenous designs, the muted jewel tones and geometric shapes, plus the rich layering of textiles, have been meticulously applied to make this one of Prey Swim’s most sultry collections yet. Featuring custom Peruvian inspired prints, the color palette incorporates pink, red and blue shimmers, glittering gold, matte black and smokey gray, along with animal prints that attribute to beautiful South American wild cats.
The Riviera Collection (Pre-Fall 2017) – Prey Swim’s Riviera collection evokes the alluring coastline and glamour of The French Riviera during the 1950s and 1960s, when it was the crown destination for elevated tourism by Aristocrats, Actors and Bohemians alike. This collection is dedicated to the woman with effortless style and an insatiable desire for inspiration and relaxation, featuring hand-drawn prints, decadent colors, and new custom silhouettes such as The Biarritz deep v one piece, The Grace Top, and Bardot Bottoms – high waisted French cut bottoms with rear bow.
The Marrakech Collection (Summer 2017) – Prey Swim’s signature styles, which continue to be available through summer 2017, draw inspiration from the colors and textures of 1960s and 1970s Marrakech, The Rolling Stones, and designer Audrina Patridge’s captivation with the influence of this artistic time period and city, reflected through the prints and silhouettes created. The line’s signature St.Tropez one-piece continues to be a best-selling style as well as the fringe embellished.
