A Vietnamese Countryside Portrait in the Heart of the Fashion Capital
As part of Paris Haute Couture Week, Vietnamese luxury fashion house Phan Huy will officially present its Fall-Winter 2025/2026 collection at 11:00 AM, July 7, 2025, at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris – France’s largest center for contemporary art.
This moment marks a significant milestone in both the personal journey of designer Phan Huy and the evolution of the brand — transitioning from a rising Vietnamese label to one that embraces the standards of international couture, bringing with it the authenticity and cultural soul of Vietnam into the heart of Paris, the city of light and fashion.
“This show is one of the most important moments of my career. Each look in this collection tells a story — a familiar image drawn from the everyday life of Vietnamese people. We began conceptualizing it eight months ago, and every detail has been prepared with utmost care and passion.”— Phan Huy, Designer

ABOUT PHAN HUY
Phan Huy is a luxury fashion brand founded by designer Phan Nguyễn Nguyên Huy, a graduate of Ho Chi Minh University of Architecture. Born in Quảng Trị, Central Vietnam, Phan Huy is deeply inspired by national identity, rural life, and the poetic beauty of nature — themes he consistently weaves into his haute couture storytelling.
The brand’s aesthetic is defined by Glamorous and Romantic silhouettes, with signature strengths in dramatic eveningwear, intricate embellishments, and light, floating materials such as chiffon, organza, tulle, and silk, often presented in tones of beige, rose gold, silver, black, and pure white.
INSPIRATION & CREATIVE STORYLINE
This season’s collection takes audiences on a serene and joyful stroll through the familiar scenes of the Vietnamese countryside. It evokes the warmth of cracked soil under bare feet, sunlit thatched roofs, rustling bamboo, rivers winding through rice fields, and children laughing in the summer heat — all creating a peaceful yet vibrant world.
Rather than nostalgia or melancholy, Phan Huy tells his story with a quiet smile, like the feeling of catching a whiff of straw smoke or hearing the wind pass through the backyard trees.
“I’m not trying to tell a grand story. I simply want to honor the little things — the beautiful, everyday memories that shaped us.” — Phan Huy, Designer
The collection draws from the collective memory of generations of Vietnamese, whether from the North, Central, or South. For eight months, Phan Huy carefully gathered scattered memories, stories from his grandmother, old photographs, and folk rhymes, transforming them into designs that are luxurious, emotional, and heartfelt.
DESIGN CONCEPT
Comprising 36 designs, each look is inspired by a specific symbol of rural Vietnamese life. A few highlights include:
Paper Fan: delicately placed on the chest, waist, and hips — soft and subtle like a childhood breath under the porch.
Nón lá reimagined using intricate cord-knotting and crystal accents, reflecting soft light and honoring the gentle, feminine beauty of Vietnamese tradition.
Fishing Net, The Boat: mimicking the motions of riverside labor, paying tribute to the livelihoods of fishing communities.
Banana Leaf, Straw Bundle, Charcoal Stove: evoking the textures, scents, and moods of rustic daily life
Nhat Binh Robe, Ao Dai & Headdress: celebrating cultural fusion and the spirit of heritage and integration.
Each look not only captures a visual but also evokes sound, texture, scent, and memory. From form construction to fabric treatment, every detail is rich in cultural significance.
TECHNIQUES & COLOR PALETTE
Phan Huy continues to develop his signature technique: color-shifting elastic mesh, creating elegant light effects and graceful motion with every step. 3D layering and sculptural draping replicate the shapes of tree trunks, straw stacks, rocky hollows, or drifting kites — transforming nature into wearable art.
The collection also introduces new techniques:
- Traditional weaving: inspired by Vietnamese basketry, lanterns, and fishing tools, translated into fabric textures and hand-sculpted volumes.
- Hand embroidery & embellishment: using crystals, beads, semi-precious stones, and metallic threads to reflect sunlight, water, and natural textures — all meticulously handcrafted with high
precision.
The color palette highlights local neutral tones: chicken-fat yellow, clay brown, brick red, ash gray, lime
white, beige, and silver — evoking rustic charm, countryside light, and raw natural beauty.
THE VENUE: PALAIS DE TOKYO, PARIS
The show will take place at the iconic Palais de Tokyo — a hub of contemporary European art and the chosen venue for designers such as Rick Owens, Balmain, and Gaurav Gupta.
With over 22,000m² of exposed concrete, this space was selected for its powerful visual dialogue: between tradition and modernity, nostalgia and reality, fashion and art.
