For Autumn Winter 25 Dreaming Eli looks within, into the depths of the human form, exploring the intricate layers of flesh, bone, and emotion.
The collection is a powerful celebration of the female body, exploring the unapologetic embrace of chaos, passion, and transformation. It speaks to a woman who has walked through fire, emerged from the trauma, and claimed her body as her own. With this in mind, Dreaming Eli performs a deepening continuation from past season embolden with a fearless new perspective in defining who the Dreaming Eli woman is and creates a collection both wild and intimate, fierce and fragile, constructed with the raw energy of a woman who refuses to be tamed.
The Dreaming Eli woman is a force to be reckoned with, untamed and tempestuous she has emerged from the flames; overcoming the trauma and experience by embracing the storm that resides within.
Dreaming Eli AW25 Collection
Going deep, deep inside
Between my heart and ribs, where blood pulses fierce.
Right there, where my core is, where the truth hides, entangled in my veins, covered in layer over layer of tissue, protected by muscles contracting strong and powerful.
Right there I read between the lines that dance on my bones, I look inside and it’s dark, and yet I can still see it all. It’s dark and yet I don’t need light to see.
I know. I feel.
Organic and imperfect, yet nothing more perfect than this high-tech machine that is this body.
My Body. My home.
The only home I’ll ever have.
-Elisa Trombatore, Dreaming Eli
“You can’t make a home out of human beings; someone should have already told you that.”
– Warsan Shire
I can let lovers in, welcome them inside and fit them between my heart and ribs.
I can hug them with my lungs, where I’m most soft and fragile, but right there – where all my cells meet like a perfect puzzle – it’s where my home is, the only home I will ever have. Intricate, layered, complex and entangled. Grotesque and beautiful, as it was always meant to be.
The collection is a visual representation of this process of self-discovery, construction and reconstruction; intricate, fragmented and layered. An evolution by exploring new techniques and pushing the boundaries of texture and form where fabric manipulation plays a key role, with Shibori
techniques used to create organic, constricted shapes playing with the idea of bondage – skin being bound and released, making the collection sexual and sensual at the same time. The use of layering with distressed fabrics mirrors the complexities of womanhood, inspired by personal experiences of vulnerability and strength. The reference to the body reemerges with a deepened exploration of the colour red, a continuation from previous seasons, but now more dominant, more explosive an intense. It bleeds across the collection, representing both trauma and power, desire and defiance. Alongside this fiery intensity, the palette remains connected to the body with soft nudes and delicate pinks referencing to skin, touch, and intimacy.
Knitwear makes a first entrance for the brand, laying with its structure through distressed knitting to create new silhouettes. Torn, raw, red threads trace across the body like veins, symbolising blood, passion, and the undeniable pulse of life. Deconstructed lingerie returns with a renewed intensity, blending delicacy with defiance. Autumn Winter explores outerwear further with the introduction of the puffer jacket with brand signature touch points of corseting and draping. The art of draping and
layering makes each piece unique and one of a kind promoting Dreaming Eli ethos of handmade production, which alongside the continuation of exploration of upcycled denim which for the season is cut out and enriched with the delicate lace.
New for this season is the first Dreaming Eli bag collection, marking a turning point with the debut of an accessory line in collaboration with 3D designer Harry Mack. These bags blend Harry’s digital world with Dreaming Eli’s romantic, fluid shapes. Focusing on exploring how digital tools can transform traditional processes by bridging the worlds of fashion, technology, and sustainability to produce results that challenge conventional notions of what accessories and fashion can be, along with appearance, with forces such as wind and gravity, Harry is able to create these innovative shapes, binding together the perfection of the tech world with the organic imperfections of the Dreaming Eli world. Wider accessory line launches in Spring 2025.
The London Fashion Week presentation showcased the collection accompanied by renowned artist Sophie Tea live painting one of the looks, accompanied by interpretative performances from ballet dancers and contortionists reflecting the theme of the collection, using their bodies to bring it to live alongside models.
