The Oriental Fashion Show highlighted two exceptional designers at Milan Women’s Fashion Week Autumn Winter 25-26. The show celebrated the richness of Silk Road cultures.

Since its foundation, the Oriental Fashion Show has promoted a unique fashion heritage and given visibility to designers who are modernising their traditions. A true platform for cultural expression and dialogue, Oriental Fashion Show values the transmission and sharing of textile know-how and diversity.

This edition featured two inspirational designers:

YOLAND (SULTANATE OF OMAN)

Yoland Fashion House, a luxury Omani fashion brand, founded in 2013. It creates innovative and unique high-end garments designed to give the modern woman a luxurious and integrated look. The brand is distinguished by its creations that reflect the rich Omani heritage with contemporary touches, making it a bridge between tradition and modernity in the fashion world.

Designer Sheikha Tufool bint Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Bakhit Al Shanfari is known for her creativity that combines authentic Dhofari heritage with a modern vision, with her garments celebrating Omani identity and preserving the cultural richness of her country. Her vision embodies the strength of the Omani woman, who draws inspiration from her roots to offer the best to her community.

In January 2025, she presented the first part of the Empire collection, which tells the story of Omani civilisation, its ancient architecture, the beauty of gold and silver colours and distinctive engravings. In Milan, Yoland presented the second part of this collection, a tribute to the history and elegance of the modern woman.

GOWHER GOUVERNET (TURKMENISTAN)

Göwher Pirkulyyeva-Gouvernet, a fashion designer from Turkmenistan, studied fashion in Paris and costume design in St. Petersburg. She teaches pattern making and textile printing techniques at Formamod Paris, is responsible for ‘made-to-measure’ training and collaborates with French and international fashion houses.

In 2022, she launched a brand in Ashgabat that reflects her nomadic culture and her emphasis on freedom and transmission. In 2024, her collections were presented with Oriental Fashion Show, in conjunction with Haute Couture Week in Paris, Tangier Fashion Week, Ana Arabia in Riyadh and the opening of a Dessange flagship in Ashgabat. In January 2025, she presented her new collection at Paris Fashion Week at the Shangri-La Paris.

True to her taste for stage clothes, she dresses classical music soloists and is creating costumes for two shows in France and Turkmenistan. Her style blends traditional Turkmen textile skills with French constructions, combining the elegance of the Turkmen woman with Parisian chic.

“My collections are a dialogue between French and Turkmen culture, a bridge between these two countries. As a Turkmen designer who studied and taught fashion in Paris, I try to contribute to a better mutual understanding between our two peoples.” Göwher Pirkulyyeva-Gouvernet This fashion show was a unique opportunity for the diversity and vitality of Oriental fashion on the international scene.
