Invitation to the ‘DREAM LAB’
The SS25 collection draws inspiration from the work and experimental spirit of German choreographer Pina Bausch, who revolutionized contemporary dance with her innovative and captivating stage.
Mixing dance and theater, combining the beautiful and the powerful, she transformed the stage into a laboratory of modern creation. TIME reinterprets her pioneering work into fashion, presenting a distinctive style. Ballet is one of the motifs in this collection. Soft hues often seen in ballet, such as nude stockings, blush-toned tutus, and melange green, are juxtaposed with modern shades like denim blue, subway grey, and striking red, reflecting the contrast between dreams and reality. Designs are filled with elements that evoke the freedom of dancers’ movements.
It discovers the opposition between strict tailoring and airy transparencies, between technical fabrics and comfortable knits, and between corseted construction and sensual fluidity. Contrast captures the tensions between moments of performance and moments of relaxation, celebrating the strength and softness of women. Inspired by her ‘Rondo’ technique, a repetition of the same gestures or movements, is reimagined through meticulous chiffon ruffles, twists, and bead embellishments. These repeating details constantly evolve and merge, expressing grotesque and witty styling, much like Pina Bausch’s performances. Jung In Choi, the Creative Director of TIME global collection, shared her reflections on the collection and show, stating, “DREAM LAB would be a fascinating space that integrates experimental creation with timeless elegance, explores between dreams and reality, stage and offstage, strength and emotion.”

TIME unveils its SS25 collection, ‘DREAM LAB’, at the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine in Paris, on September 27th . Presentation has been enriched through a collaboration with artist Andrés Reisinger and Reisinger Studio, whose creative vision inspired to bring the collection’s surreal and dreamy mood. She also lends her expertise to the SS25 global campaign, continuing the journey with TIME to strengthen the brand’s vision. Sound design is produced by Katu, an artist from the Paris-based music label ‘Roche Musique.’ The soundscape blends classic electronic elements with modern grooves, reflecting the collection’s theme of the contrast between dreams and reality, and enhancing the immersive experience of the presentation. Guest catering is exclusively sponsored by HWAYO, a premium Korean soju brand. HWAYO developed a special cocktail recipe featuring ‘HWAYO41’ for this show, presenting it to the global fashion industry as Korea’s representative celebratory drink.
