Phan Huy Officially Becomes the Youngest Designer in History Selected to Present at the Prestigious Paris Haute Couture Week

The Haute Couture Council (Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode) has officially issued a confirmation announcing that PHAN HUY has been selected as one of the designers invited to present within the official schedule of Paris Haute Couture Week.

This historic milestone marks the first time Vietnam has an official representative participating in one of the most prestigious events in the global fashion industry.

On December 15, an official letter of acceptance was sent to CEO Steven Đoàn, confirming PHAN HUY’s status as a Guest Member of Paris Haute Couture Week. This recognition comes directly from the Haute Couture Committee of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode – one of the most authoritative, influential, and rigorous institutions in the international fashion world.

At just 26 years old, Phan Huy has become the youngest designer in the world ever selected to present at Paris Haute Couture Week – a remarkably rare achievement. The PHAN HUY brand originated from the graduation project of Phan Huy, a young student from Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, whose valedictorian thesis created a significant impact within Vietnam. More than a widely recognized academic achievement, the project resonated deeply with both the public and industry professionals, marking the beginning of a fashion brand defined by a distinctive creative identity.

Founded in 2023 by Creative Director & Founder Phan Huy and CEO & Co-Founder Steven Đoàn, PHAN HUY was established with a vision to elevate contemporary luxury. The brand pursues a refined fusion of Vietnamese cultural heritage, traditional craftsmanship, and modern techniques – shaping a new aesthetic language that is elegant, singular, and rich in depth.

Phan Huy follows a purist design philosophy, where minimal and pure beauty emerges from the designer’s most instinctive emotions. This philosophy is translated into a distinctive couture language through in-depth material research and advanced techniques: from three-dimensional surface creation through embellishment and structural deconstruction, experimental material treatments and natural dyeing, to contemporary laser cutting. These innovations are seamlessly combined with traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship such as silk embroidery and weaving, resulting in silhouettes that are fluid yet sculptural. This dialogue between Vietnamese cultural essence and modern technology not only defines the brand’s aesthetic identity but also positions PHAN HUY in close alignment with international Haute Couture standards.

Since its debut, PHAN HUY has quickly established a strong presence through collections such as “La Moyenne Région,” “Lost in the Cavern,” “Grief – Utopia,” and “Fall–Winter 2025-26.” Each collection deeply explores Vietnamese materials, childhood memories, nature, and East Asian aesthetics. Within just one year of operating in Vietnam, PHAN HUY’s designs were trusted and worn by leading A-list artists, including Mỹ Tâm, Thanh Hằng, and Hồ Ngọc Hà.

Following the brand’s first presentation in France, PHAN HUY’s creations immediately captured the attention of the international fashion community, appearing on major red carpets such as the Cannes Film Festival and The Emmy Awards, and being selected by global artists including Jhené Aiko, Kesha, Desi Lydic, Laura Pausini, Leonie Hanne, Zhao Lusi, Fan Chengcheng, among others.
