LFW x UA in UK Fashion Show London Fashion Week

For the third time, young Ukrainian brands have shown their collections at the UA in UK Fashion Show as part of the evening program of the official schedule of London Fashion
On February 16, a presentation of Ukrainian young fashion brands was held in London, organized by the Ukrainian community UA in UK Community

The event aimed to showcase the talent and creativity of young Ukrainian designers who are creating and developing the Ukrainian fashion industry despite all the hardships and pain of the war that every Ukrainian feels worldwide. It also aimed to remind the international community of the second anniversary of the war in Ukraine.

Organizers focus specifically on supporting young brands, as they are the ones who most need support to shape the future of our country and represent it effectively on the international stage.

“Our country is a land of creative people. Many Ukrainian designers are already worldwide. We are grateful to Ukrainian and international organizations for their support and promotion of our culture and design. We, in turn, hope to see an increasing number of globally recognized Ukrainian representatives in the fashion industry every year. However young talents need help. That’s why we are proud of the courage, perseverance and incredible energy of our participants and strive to support talented young brands in Great Britain,” says Oleksandra Volkova, founder of UA in UK Community.

This season, the organizers paid more attention to the brand diversity, supporting environmental protection. The program featured four young Ukrainian brands: three women’s clothing brands: Innna (casual), Sofi Rich (casual), Upslowuse (upcycling & casual) and, for the first time, a men’s brand – Andreas Moskin.

ANDREAS MOSKIN

The brand has established a design philosophy focused on creating modern menswear, OSKIN classic but not boring. The brand’s pioneering spirit generates a contagious energy, which is what enables us to keep putting new ideas into practice. Andreas Moskin champion positivity, curiosity and creativity. The brand’s vision is to become a truly international men’s haberdasher and the byword for service, craftsmanship and soul in men’s clothing.

Sofi Rich

While you haven’t said anything yet, you are perceived by your appearance!” This is the basis of the concept of the Sofi Rich brand – to create exclusive, unique and elegant images for women who choose to be beautiful, bold and free in their choice, to be the real queens of their lives!

Innna

INNNA is an eponymous demi-couture brand with ‘One Fit For Every Occasion.’ Seamlessly transition from a business meeting to a fancy cocktail bar. Uniquely handcrafted features exemplify its simple yet refined elegance, creating investment pieces that make you stand out and be whispered about.

Upslowuse

Upslowuse is a unique conceptual brand of conscious fashion that promotes the courage to be oneself. The brand tells the story of self-discovery and self- acceptance through the language of texture, color, and cut, as experienced by designer Mi Ogli. The development of clothing is done in a way that minimizes negative impact on the environment during production and disposal. Therefore, upcycling techniques are used, along with the use of recycled and surplus fabrics of natural composition, as well as materials that are biodegradable or recyclable. This is the brand’s contribution to a sustainable future, where people are happy to be themselves and consciously care for the environment.

“This was a challenge for me. In addition to personal excitement for presenting my collection, I also understand the great responsibility of all of us, representing Ukraine on the international stage. And I’m sure, this is just the beginning for me!” – says designer Inna Semenyuk, founder of the Innna brand.

Among the guests were more than 100 influencers from the UK and around the world.

The organizers are grateful to friends and partners who, despite all the difficulties, help to realize the dreams of young designers, are not afraid to support new young projects and make a significant contribution to promoting Ukrainian products worldwide.

For the first time in Britain, Polyakova.beauty – make up brand from the Ukrainian singer Olya Polyakova – @polyakovamusic was used to create the looks for our models, as well as together with Ukrainian chain of elite cosmetics and parfumery from international brands – “Bomond” – @bomondua. They prepare gifts for all guests of the event.

Project organizers:

UA in UK Community – community of Ukrainians in Great Britain, a new format of a member club that unites all types of businesses and industries and offers various formats of participation. Founded in November 2022. Special attention is given to participants who are interested in/work/want to work in fashion&beauty and related industries. The main goal is the promotion of Ukrainian brands and culture.
