Leonard Transforms the Runway Into a Trip to Jaipur

Leonard Transforms the Runway Into a Trip to Jaipur

A whole new way of traveling unfolded on the runway at Leonard. Christine Phung played with the idea of escapism, when life gets too stressful just throw on a long silky dress under a kaftan, grab your Tumi suitcase and head to Jaipur. Boarding passes served as invitations directing you to your seat to find a printed eye mask. Models walked the runway with large overnight bags, Tumi suitcases, neck pillows and one even wearing a velvet “life jacket.”

In the sea of orchid prints and gold jacquard prints that seemed all too expected for the brand, an orange belted jumpsuit with lapels stood out. There were no shortage of layering pieces in the mix, from pink overcoats to printed kimonos and even an aviator jacket.

The simpler pieces like a navy blue pinstripe blazer were the highlights of the collection. The brightly colored overnight bags were no-brainers that are sure to be a hit, and never overlooked in a sea of grey and black luggage at the airport.
