It’s Not Just a Runway, It’s When Fashion Moves

The world-renowned Daylight Studio , a leading part of the Hudson Yards and Flatiron events scene in Manhattan, has transformed fashion shows with its groundbreaking “It’s Not Just a Runway, It’s When Fashion Moves” event.

The 13,000 square foot space in Manhattan’s Hudson Yards features wrap-around huge industrial sash windows and high ceilings, making the prestigious studio an impressive venue with views of the cityscape and natural light. Daylight Studio offers its large-scale studio space to leading production companies and high-profile clients, establishing itself as a premier destination for creative professionals in the fashion and entertainment industries.

The event promotes various aspects of development, taking into account ecological concepts and practices in the fashion industry. The exhibition featured an impressive line-up of talented eco-designers, including Nan Seo of Nan SEO, Joy Qiu of ZiNg QiU, Andres Biel of IflyUniverse, Leo Hsiung of Voyagers, and Merhwait Tesfaye of MerZiet. Notably, the event also featured the work of designers Jose Martinez and Michael Vias, who support AHRC, a non-profit agency committed to ensuring full and legal lives for people with disabilities. The stage opened and closed with a performance by Romero Pedroso and Ayu Krim, who set the tone for the evening and kept the publication on its toes throughout the event.

The dancers’ performances were masterfully choreographed by world-renowned talent Valeria Alavie, adding an extra layer of artistry to the fashion presentations.

To further enhance the atmosphere, rap artists kept the attention with exciting music, including songs specially written for the event. This unique combination of fashion, dance and music created a unique experience for the VIP audiences, which included influencers, buyers, stylists, photographers and other industry professionals.

This creative approach, a fresh and exciting way to reveal the latest trends, set a new standard for fashion presentations.

The event received a temporary twist when designer Merhavit Tesfaye appeared on a radio show to discuss her Born Again Zeitgeist collection and presented her solution at the Fashion Performance Daylight Studio. This media coverage once again stood out for its unique nature and impact on the fashion industry.

Professor from FIT and Environmentalist from Yale Raquel Tanibajeva gave an inspiring and educational talk on sustainability in fashion, highlighting her commitment to environmental issues.

This remarkable event was made possible by the generous support of sponsors including Metromotion Productions, RVAistream, FSG Life, Cannon Models, Boom Balloon NYC, Mobile Beauty Services, Denoir Cosmetics, Simply Gum, and Starlight Events Group. Daylight Studio would like to sincerely thank the sponsors for their contributions.
