A snow queen, feminine and delicate yet strong and determined. She crosses an enchanted forest where the sunlight hits the snow creating charming reflections. The almost mystic silence of this magic, fascinating environment is only interrupted by the sound of nature.
This fairy landscape serves as background of the Genny Fall/Winter 2019 collection.

Following the suggestion of this solitary journey, the brand’s creative director Sara Cavezza Facchini imagines the special and poetic wardrobe of this woman showing a romantic spirit.
To face the cold temperatures, materials are warm and shapes are cocooning. The wrapping coats embellished with cape-inspired details and the midi dresses are crafted from a slightly padded white fabric with a mat finishing, recalling the purity of frozen surfaces.
Echoing melting ice, the brand’s signature seductive femininity translates into fluid and lightweight flared dresses, which put the focus on the waist. Their precious sophistication is highlighted by the refined embroideries crafted from metallic mesh and enriched with Swarovski crystals.
The sparkle of a starred sky breaks the rigor of the tuxedo, which is revamped with the new cape jackets paired with slim pants exalting the verticality of the silhouette, framed by the luxurious crystal embellishments.
A tribute to women’s sensuality, the new smoking shows wide jacquard pants matched with a bustier vest featuring an intricate construction of silk duchesse suspenders.
Disegned to be wrapped around the body, the cozy coats are crafted from hyper soft double-faced cashmere and the maxi silk velvet bomber jackets are worn to exalt the feminine timeless beauty. The fil coupe skirts sport silhouettes inspired by Scottish kilts.
Loyal companion of this snow queen, the white panther is embroidered on an oversized coat, suits and maxi shirts.
Completing the collection, kidassia fur gives a soft, warm touch to bags and patent leather mules, while the leather boots with a sock-like effect are punctuated by sparkling Swarovski crystals.
SARA CAVAZZA FACCHINI: FASHION HELPS TO CHANNEL A SUSTAINABLE AND ETHICAL VIEW OF LIFE.
“Fashion is an extraordinary stage from which you can launch a message of style, but can also manifest a new vision of life, where sustainability and respect for human values at all levels are fundamental and cannot be disregarded. For this, I feel happy, and at the same time proud, when I am able to give back part of what the world of fashion has given to me, taught me and transferred to me over a long career. Giving back something means, most of all, doing it with a view to a better future. Not only better from an aesthetic point of view, but one where respect for the environment and its inhabitants is central. That is why for a long time – and some also say in a visionary and precursory manner – I have been trying to be an ambassador of sustainability and of socially beneficial activities.
From these words it is clear that fashion and commitment on the ethical/social front are now completely entwined in the life and work of Sara Cavazza Facchini, creative guide of Genny. The Italian womenswear house has a sustainable approach on all levels of the production line, from creativity to the organisational model to raw materials.
And from words to action, along with her deluxe total look creations designed for daring women who love to be glamorous and aware of their beauty, Sara Cavazza Facchini is a key participant in charity events in Italy and abroad. Her name, together with the Genny brand, has been long linked to associations and events renowned for their relevant and positive social impact.
From support to amfAr, to participation in the Green Carpet Fashion Awards of the Italian National Chamber of Fashion. From support to Fashion4Development, to initiatives in support of women, and in help of the victims of the earthquake in central Italy.
Among her latest ethical commitments, she took part last week in the Andrea Bocelli Foundation event at the New York Met, where her limited edition Black Evening Essential collection of passe-partout eveningwear creations was premiered worldwide. A rendez-vous with the famous tenor had already taken place last September at the event La Notte di Andrea Bocelli, in support of the philanthropic marathon event Celebrity Fight Night for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.
Sara Cavazza Facchini uses the instruments she knows best, the ones connected with style and with her ability to take action, to communicate a concept she deeply cares for: “Beauty recalls beauty”.
From this viewpoint, in Verona, the city she hails from, Sara supports the Association Angeli del Bello (Angels of Beauty) to give a new shine to the symbolic places of Romeo and Juliet’s hometown, a crucible of million of tourists and a source of inspiration at worldwide level.
