Exclusive Industry Only Show – Claudia Gutiérrez

Exclusive Industry Only Show – Claudia Gutiérrez

As the New York City’s Industry Professionals flooded the iconic Edison Ballroom in Times Square during NYFW hiTechMODA NYFW Season 7, they were unsure of exactly what to expect.

Are they to shoot a fashion segment? The invitation did not provide all the details, only bring your camera lens that will allow you to capture the models close on the runway and YOU are our audience? The media pit, bloggers, were not sure what to expect for the first time, hiTechMODA introduced a new segment- “Industry Only,” which created the ultimate thrill. Before the segment began Producer PS Privette went out on the stage inviting the media to bring their cameras to sit in the front row, move next to the stage, the venue is opened up to you.

The media pit looked in question at each other and quickly began moving to the front. Privette said, “the venue is yours, use your creative talents for this segment.” A previous Chanel fashion show inspired Privette to go ahead and produce “Industry Only.” The segment featured a select group of 12 models wearing designer Claudia Gutierrez with features from her new swimsuit line “Amare” paired with a live performance by R Squared Studios of Cleveland, Ohio. Claudia Gutierrez’s line encompassed a wave of glamor, glitz, and enchantment with her flirty yet chic designs to set the mood.

The direct access to the stage allowed the photographers and models are closer and more intimate look of fashion and the connection between the artistry and the between the two. The models could almost “touch” the photographers as they walked the runway, stopped and poised. This segment all goes hand in hand with the overall theme concept hiTechMODA had for season 7, Reversion #noapology, delivering the same uniqueness by mixing the past with the future. Having the runway bordered by photographers and flashing lights brings New York back to the nostalgic times of fashion week in the ’80s while taking a new view and philosophy of how fashion is displayed. While highly praised by the Industry professionals, It’s not sure if hiTechMODA will produce another “Industry Only” segment, but, predictably, it will be a segment that others love to copy, something hiTechMODA prides themselves with setting trends in the city they love.
