Gambling in Monte Carlo Isn’t for Just Anyone

It is one of the places people go to be seen. The Monte Carlo Casino is luxurious.

The richest of the richest go to the venue. What if you aren’t among society’s ritziest people and want to gamble at the famed hall? Well, there is a Monte Carlo Casino Dress code and we’re here to prepare you for it.

Is There a Dress Code to Enter Monte Carlo Casino?

Depending on what time you want to gamble at the Monte Carlo Casino, there are different rules. Monte Carlo casino attire varies.

Hellomonaco fills people in on what can and can’t be worn. If you are going into the Atrium and Renaissance rooms between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m, you can don casual attire. Monte Carlo Casino outfits between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Salle Europe can be casual … to a point. Don’t try to get in with sandals or flip flops. Stonewashed jeans or ripped denim is also prohibited. What do they have against Stonewashed jeans?

What is the Smart Attire Dress Code?

If you plan on playing when the stars and celebs are out and about, make sure you dress the part. In the evening – not considered “at night” for the posh – men need to wear blazers or suit jackets. “Dark jeans and smart casual shoes” are tolerated. Yes, the word is tolerated.

Oh, and if you want to go where few people are welcomed and seen even less – private lounges – you don’t have to worry if you forget your sports jacket. The casino will have you covered. Just nod. You won’t have to ask.

Does It Cost to Get into the Casino?

Believe it or not, this is where the elite meet. And if you aren’t one of them who is noted, respected and expected. Expect there will be a cost to get in. That would be 19 Euros – about 20 USD. Let’s be realistic, if you are in Monte Carlo and looking to spend time in the casino, 19 Euros is not going to faze you or anyone in your party of “patrons,” as they are called.

There is actually a loyalty programme – My Monte-Carlo loyalty program – as it is known, which gains you free access to the casino during gaming hours. This also has silver/gold and platinum levels. It would be interesting to see whether celebrities, athletes, and stars participate in the program or if it is not worth a sniff or interest.

The big-time gamblers – high rollers and whales – likely find their way into I, but if you are part of the gambling elite, chances are you won’t have to worry about a comped meal or drink. The Monte Carlo Casino has been in business for years and years and understands how to treat the elite.

What Games Do People Play in Monte Carlo

While there is definitely a James Bond vibe to Monte Carlo and you need certain Monte Carlo outfits to fit in, the games are similar to many brick-and-mortar and online casinos for US players. You will find Blackjack, Craps, English Roulette and Texas Poker Hold’em. Chances are the stakes are not for the faint of heart.
