Yuhan Liu, co-founder of the China Fashion Collective, has been instrumental in promoting Chinese designers on the global fashion stage.

Starting her career as a journalist, she transitioned into entrepreneurship with a mission to create opportunities for emerging Chinese talent. Through her organization, she provides designers with platforms to showcase their work at prestigious events like New York Fashion Week, helping them gain international exposure and recognition. Her efforts aim to challenge stereotypes and redefine perceptions of Chinese fashion, proving that it can be both innovative and globally competitive.

Her contributions to the fashion industry have been widely recognized. Before entering the world of fashion, she built an impressive career in journalism, working with internationally renowned media organizations such as China Daily (New York), Observer Media, and The New York Times. As a key member of an investigative reporting team, she played a pivotal role in uncovering issues within the nail salon industry, which earned the team a spot as a 2016 Pulitzer Prize finalist. Their groundbreaking work prompted then-Governor Andrew Cuomo to sign a new bill into law, offering protections for vulnerable immigrants in New York State.
