With “Into The Sky,” the New York label explores the relationship between softness, strength, and the freedom to dream.
The title offers a direction: upward. For Spring/Summer 2027, Kathy C Vang frames fashion as an expression of possibility with Into The Sky, a collection whose stated themes bring together aspiration and transformation.
Listed for September 12 at AP Space in Chelsea during New York Fashion Week, the presentation introduces a design vocabulary of ethereal silhouettes, sculptural volume, and fluid movement. The collection announcement describes it as “a love letter to dreamers,” placing emotion at the center of the season’s proposition. Fashion Week Online
That premise invites an interesting reading of the collection: softness can carry presence, while volume can suggest freedom. In the language of the announcement, strength and delicacy occupy the same space. The sky becomes a metaphor for reaching beyond the familiar, giving the season an imaginative starting point.

There is also a practical history behind that romantic outlook. In its 2021 designer spotlight, Fashion Week Online described Kathy C Vang as a New York label pursuing sustainability through organic and recycled fabrics, ethical local production, and a made-to-order approach.
The profile also highlighted custom sizing at no additional cost and the brand’s commitment to living wages for garment workers. Those earlier commitments provide context for the label’s development, although they do not establish the materials or production methods used for SS27. Fashion Week Online’s designer spotlight
Read against that background, Into The Sky poses an appealing creative question: how might clothes express the feeling of possibility? Kathy C Vang’s announced answer begins with movement, shape, and the interplay of softness and strength—a fitting vocabulary for a season looking toward new horizons.
