Black PR Global is pleased to announce that contemporary luxury womenswear house FLAPPER6 Presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, BECOMING, during London Fashion Week on Sunday 20th September at Fashion Scout, Protein Studios.
Inspired by the independent spirit of the 1920s flapper movement, BECOMING explored how craftsmanship can evolve through contemporary luxury fashion. The collection traces a journey from traditional artisanal techniques to refined, minimalist silhouettes, demonstrating how heritage craftsmanship can be reinterpreted through modern design, materials and technology.At the heart of the collection is Rabari hand embroidery, a historic craft renowned for its intricate hand stitching and geometric compositions. From this foundation, FLAPPER6 introduces Jeko Moti, threadwork and contemporary embellishment, before moving into hand painting, wool, leather and digital print.

Each chapter represents a different stage in the evolution of craftsmanship. Movement opens the collection, reflecting the freedom and expressive spirit of the flapper, while Craft introduces traditional hand embroidery. Evolution brings texture and dimension through contemporary embellishment, followed by Expression, where hand painting makes each garment a unique interpretation of the craft. Structure explores strength through wool, leather and architectural tailoring, while Transformation uses digital print to connect handcrafted ideas with modern textile innovation. The collection ultimately arrives at Clarity, where craftsmanship is expressed through proportion, movement and understated, timeless design.
A NEW LANGUAGE OF LUXURY
Across the collection, FLAPPER6 balances strength with softness, tradition with innovation, and artistic expression with modern elegance. Silk, wool, leather and contemporary luxury textiles are combined with techniques including Rabari hand embroidery, Jeko Moti work, thread embroidery, hand painting and digital print.
The collection’s visual language is further shaped by three recurring motifs: the elephant, symbolising quiet strength, resilience and enduring wisdom; the deer, representing grace, balance and natural elegance; and the bird, reflecting freedom, imagination and continuous evolution.
Together, the motifs appear throughout the collection through embroidery, hand painting and digital print, reinforcing FLAPPER6’s exploration of nature, movement and craftsmanship.
BECOMING
FLAPPER6’s design philosophy centres on the belief that true luxury is created through craftsmanship, innovation and thoughtful design. Rather than separating tradition from modernity, BECOMING brings the two together, exploring how traditional artistry can continue to evolve without losing its originality.
The collection culminates in a final look bringing together embroidery, threadwork and digital innovation — a visual expression of FLAPPER6’s belief that craftsmanship is not something to preserve unchanged, but something that can develop across generations.
