Afraa Al-Noaimi Presents Her Capsule Collection ‘Desert Rose’ in Milan During MMD

Success at Palazzo Visconti for Afraa Al-Noaimi’s capsule, under the patronage of the Lombardy Region and with the presence of international institutions

Great success for the presentation event of the “Desert Rose” collection by Afraa Al-Noaimi, held at Palazzo Visconti under the patronage of the Lombardy Region. The event was attended by various institutions, including Barbara Mazzali, Councillor of the Lombardy Region, and Gianluca Mirante, Director for Italy, Cyprus, Greece, and Malta at HKTDC, along with national and international journalists and key industry figures. It represented an important opportunity for cultural exchange between Qatar and Italy.

The “Desert Rose” collection combines the designer’s creativity with Lombardy’s renowned manufacturing excellence, using refined materials such as chiffon, silk cady, muslin, and stretch hemp. The garments range from flowing silhouettes, such as capes and voluminous dresses, to more structured shapes like fitted models and tunics, striking a balance between volume and artisanal precision. The color palette evokes the landscapes of Qatar, with shades of ivory, soft sky blue, sand, and earth, enhanced by distinctive accessories such as socks and gloves adorned with “desert rose” crystals, fine gauze hijabs, Carrara marble details, and golden finishes that pay homage to Qatari heritage.

The project, developed with the support of the Lombardy Region, highlighted the strategic role of institutional collaboration in strengthening cultural and economic ties between Italy and Qatar.
