VFILES Runway in Partnership with Depop
Aglobal group of emerging creators will kick off NYFW with a show featuring performances on the runway by Rico Nasty, Brooke Candy, Erika Jayne, and more surprises. Tickets are open to the public, and now available on Ticketmaster.
VFILES Runway in partnership with Depop will kick off NYFW with a new class of global young creators, chosen from thousands of contestants who applied as designers, photographers, stylists, and models. The show, which will take place at The Barclays Center on September 5th, 2018 at 7pm, will also include live performances from Runway mentor Rico Nasty as well as the debut of a brand new single by Erika Jayne and Brooke Candy. The show will also feature DJ A-Trak as well as visuals by Jeron Braxton and pre-show performances by VFILES community artists Delly, Stvsh, Penelope, Maya Hirasedo and more surprises to be announced.

This season’s winners are: designers Di Du, Pierre Louis Auvray, Nico Verhaegen, Wesley Harriott, photographer Genevieve Andrews, and stylist Cornelius Lafayette. VFILES and Depop have a shared mission of democratizing fashion and pushing the boundaries of fashion forward. To embody this goal, the show will be open to the public and tickets are all free and available through Ticketmaster.

Di Du

Di Du is a Chinese born and Antwerp based designer and recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. Her collections focus on feminine power and she delivers a mix of feminine sexual attraction combined with elegance throughout her collections. Di Du also draws her inspiration from contemporary art and underground culture. She tends to express her statements through each collection about the domination of female liberty in different topics. Di Du’s designs have been seen on celebrities such as Rico Nasty, Zara Larson, Rosalia, and more.
Wesley Harriott

Ricky Harriott is a London based womenswear designer, that launched his own line Wesley Harriott, in 2016. His collections are rooted in biographical stories influenced by females that have impacted his past, in both fiction and reality. Since the brand launched two years ago Harriott has created collections worn by icons such as Lady Gaga, SZA, Kylie Jenner, and Jorja Smith, and been featured in WWD, Vogue UK, Hunger, Dazed and more. Harriott most recently won the ASOS Fashion Discovery competition, an award with a history of supporting entrepreneurial design talent and showcases his collections each season as part of the Official Schedule for London Fashion Week.
Pierre Louis Auvray

Pierre Louis Auvray is London based designer and recent graduate from Central Saint Martins. His design process is influenced by technological innovations and a passion for reconnecting elements that have been left behind in favor of the new. His aim is to create a symbiosis between old belongings, for which we used to have an affectionate bond with, and our current obsessions. Auvray’s prior work includes an apprenticeship at King and Allen tailors as well as an internship at Louis Vuitton as part of a design team.
Nico Verhaegen

Nico Verhaegen is an Antwerp based designer and recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. Nico takes inspiration from decay and rebirth and often examines the frail state of cities, combining urban motifs like cracked paint, mold and rust with clean elements. His work includes sustainable and raw materials such as CO2 neutral linen, recycled nylons, reclaimed fabrics and selvedges.

Lafayette’s talent for creating bold, rebellious and sharp looks has garnered the attention of Glamour Magazine, Schön! Magazine Vogue Italia and i-D.

Genevieve Andrews is a New York based photographer who creates cinematic scapes utilizing performance art and neon production. She uses photography as a channel to cope with past health issues she has experienced and as an outlet to create nostalgic moments and altered memories. Andrews’ past work includes shooting for Billie Eilish and DRØME Magazine.
