British fashion designer with kenyan gujarati heritage and creative director Tulasi Parmar showcased at London Fashion Week with Omnia Vanitas, a collection exploring the fleeting nature of the material world and the tension between beauty, power, wealth and desire, versus the search for something that endures beyond the physical.
Inspired by the words of Ecclesiastes, “Vanity of vanities; all is vanity”, the collection considers what we choose to hold onto, and what ultimately weighs us down.
Drawing inspiration from Paolo Veronese’s Allegory of Wisdom and Strength, where Godly wisdom rises towards the light while Hercules is pulled downward by the weight of earthly possession, Omnia Vanitas explores the space between ascent and descent, mortality and permanence. Translating these ideas into a contemporary fashion language, TULASI examines physical identity versus digital sensibility, the human body versus the constructed image, and what is mortal versus what can be made to appear eternal. TULASI’s SS/AW27 runway continued the designer’s exploration of fashion at the intersection of technology, spirituality and identity, with AI and digital fashion forming an integral part of her creative practice. Rather than treating technology as separate from the physical garment, TULASI uses digital tools to challenge traditional ideas of design, production and the human form, creating a fashion world where the physical and digital increasingly overlap. The collection also marked a significant new chapter for the brand, with a humanoid robot making its debut on the runway. Carefully integrated into the final moments of the show, this unexpected element introduces another dimension to the collection’s exploration of humanity, technology and the future, creating a closing moment designed to challenge the audience’s perception of what, and who, belongs on the fashion runway.

Founded and creatively led by Tulasi Parmar, TULASI is a luxury womenswear brand specialising in AI and digital fashion. Inspired by her Kenyan-Gujarati heritage and her experience of growing up British in the UK, Parmar’s work brings together traditional craftsmanship with emerging technologies including CLO 3D, Cinema 4D and Unreal Engine. After winning Young Fashion Designer of the Year UK at just 16, Tulasi went on to study womenswear and digital fashion at Ravensbourne University London, graduating with First-Class Honours in 2024. Sustainability and innovation are also central to TULASI’s approach. The brand uses AI and 3D digital software to prototype garments before physical production, allowing patterns, fit, drape and movement to be refined virtually and reducing the need for excessive fabric sampling. Physical pieces are manufactured on demand through in-house UK production.
TULASI’s growing recognition includes backing from The King’s Trust, HelpBnk, Fashion Minority Report and JPMorganChase, a keynote appearance at the University of Oxford’s AI Frontier Forum, and recognition including Under 30 Entrepreneur by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, finalist status for British Vogue X BMW, winner of Metaverse Fashion Week 2025, finalist for Drapers One to Watch, and Graduate Start-Up of the Year 2026.
