Toogood Fall 2018: London Fashion Week

Toogood London Fashion Week FW18

A rural treat in London’s East End. Sisters Faye and Erica Toogood have brought rural delight to urban chic.

Raised in an idyllic English countryside, they draw on their environmental resources through Faye’s diverse materiality, using tarpaulin canvas and waxed cotton, and Erica’s audacious shape-making to recreate a modern rural scene in their East London studios.

Like the best of best rambles, the viewer walked a trail through rooms and upstairs weaving between the live models sitting and standing in the nooks and crannies of the studio. Each garment takes inspiration from traditional workwear and transforms the idea of uniformity into individuality.

It was just as well it was a sunny day in London, hitting the surrounding urban streets the rural spell lasted just that little bit longer.
