The Common Baseline of Art and The Ordinary
We are in the midst of a journey.
A journey in pursuit of the essence of creation.
The 2026 Spring-Summer collection marks a quintessential step towards this core principle.
At the same time, it serves as a declaration of how TAAKK engages with creativity.
Everyday wear and art.
Necessity and disruption.
TAAKK’s creations stand on the boundary of these dualities.
A universality supported by material and structure – And the subtle dissonance that lies within it.
A familiar silhouette that mysteriously lingers in your mind.
This tiny “quirk” in the deepest places of our conscience, Gives birth to new and exhilarating senses.
TAAKK’s creations are founded on the skill and knowledge of master artisans. Thread. Fabric. Weaves. Dyes. Embroidery. Processing. We liberate ourselves from pre-existing notions about fabrics and technique, In order to reconstruct them into an array of innovative designs. This continued effort is the backbone of TAAKK.
Taakk
When one looks at a piece of garment,
It may appear intentional in every aspect.
But for me, it is but a mere sliver of my full imagination,
That manages to manifest itself in physical form.
This is our process, garnered through years of trial and error.
The single belief that breathes life at the core of our creations.
With this principle at the helm of our journey, we come face to face and delve even deeper.
One day, to reach our destination –
The simple essence of creation.
That is our reason to continue this journey
THE EVOLUTION OF SCULPTURAL EMBROIDERY
Over the past several seasons, our sculptural embroidery techniques have continued to evolve. This season, they emerge in even more dimensional and defined forms. No longer merely decorative, the embroidery applied to fabric now functions as “sculpture,” bringing depth and structure to the garments themselves. What was once abstract form has shifted into figurative expression—imbued with meaning and narrative. This marks the birth of a new kind of embroidery, one that speaks not only to the eye, but also to the body’s sense of space and touch.
GRADIENT FABRIC
A signature element of TAAKK, the gradient fabric reaches new depths in the Spring-Summer 2026 season. This season, the focus is on the transformation of material: from shirt to suit, and from suit to shirt. Solid broadcloth shifts into pinstriped suiting fabric, while various tailored jacket textiles fade seamlessly into shirting materials— exploring a range of transitions we have never done before. Going beyond the simple gradation of color, this season experiments with a gradient of function and purpose within the textile itself. By blurring the lines between categories, we continue to pursue new possibilities in how clothing can be conceived and experienced.
