Shiatzy Chen Spring 2018: Paris Fashion Week

Shiatzy Chen Paris Fashion Week

This season, the Taiwanese fashion house tapped into the Silk Road as the trope for its East-meets-West Spring 2018 collection.

And indeed, the looks were clean, wearable, and fun, with an Eastern sensibility combined with some Western looks, to create a colorful, chic collection.

Much as in Chanel’s Paris Fashion Week collection, rain hats made an appearance, taking the opportunity to stylize and extend the silhouette with cinched waists, lovely drapes, and/or matching handbags.

Our favorite looks included the pink overshirt with clouds with popped collar and matching handbag, and sleeveless black dress with rain hat and big pink tote. But many of the more ornate looks were also beautiful.

The brand has a lot to celebrate, with a new retail space coming to Avenue Montaigne, designed by the Australian based multi-award winning Layan Design led by Johannes Hartfuss.
