Inspired By Adventure, The Collection Marries Function, Performance And Style

Tuesday, February 5, 2019, Robert Geller showed Mountain Climbing to the Moon, the AW19 collection inspired by the shared sense of adventure of Tibetan mountain climbers and astronauts’ lunar sojourns. The range explored the functionality of fabrics, ranging from wool, to nylon and technical engineered performance fibers rendered in bursts of fuschia, neon green, and moon landscape grey.

The presentation featured highlights from a 12-piece Robert Geller x lululemon collaboration that will launch in May. Ben Stubbington, lululemon’s Senior Vice President of Men’s Design, complemented Robert Geller’s design vision with pieces that transition seamlessly from sport to street and will be offered in select lululemon stores globally and on lululemon.com. The pieces marry function, performance and style to suit morning workouts, busy urban life and international travel.

The space adventure theme was explored throughout the show with cap-like headgear, inspired by astronaut helmets and graphic sweatshirts that read “I love you to the moon and back.” Looks were grounded with grey and earth-colored Common Projects high tops featuring neon laces and tape.
