Parcoats Florence Spring Summer Collection 2020

Parcoats Florence Spring Summer Collection 2020

Represented by Guitar Advertising & PR.

Parcoats Florence presents, at Pitti Uomo 96 — from 11 to 14 June in Florence — the spring-summer 2020 collection that is inspired by the artistic movement of futurism and focuses on the dynamism of the present. A strong and revolutionary theme that amplifies the creative continuity of a brand that, following its debut at the Florentine event last January, presents the summer season of its collections for the first time.

Faithful to the concept of contamination that characterises its style and interpreting a new idea of the future, Parcoats has reinterpreted five iconic models from the male wardrobe, offering them in a collection of 25 garments, usable 24 hours a day, from morning to evening. This gave life to PARFECTO, an ideal fusion of biker jacket and parka, a forward-looking and futuristic piece of outerwear, that embraces the essence of the two jackets from which it is born and turns it into a new idea just waiting to be worn and lived.

Syncretism with an urban twist is what gave rise to the PUNK PARKA, one of the collection’s must-haves that, thanks to its irreverent nature, translates the DNA of the entire project into matter: bi-material and transformable, printed or solid, it’s the ideal model to accompany men on every one of their adventures, be they in the city or elsewhere.

Strong personality and revolutionary spirit for the DENIM PARKA, the outerwear item that blends the most classic of denim jackets with the parka, a model dedicated to a young tribe in constant evolution that makes style its laissez-passer for the world. Bi-material and captivating, the piece is presented in three different variants, all equally capable of drawing attention, including the oversized one in techno twill and the more classic one in blue cotton.

Heritage that looks to the future is distilled into the TRENCH PARKA, a model that reinterprets yesteryear’s archive version with a street and non-conformist slant that doesn’t forget the glories of the past. Long and enveloping, the coat presents itself as an interpreter of the metropolitan world, offering a choice between full colour and two-tone versions.

The identity of the brand, eclectic and transformist, is seen in the choice of prints for the collection: offered in several variants – in shades of ice, ruby, mustard and military green –, they reinterpret futurist paintings with a camouflage twist, in which the contribution of deliberately imperfect hand-drawing becomes the unmistakable sign of Made in Italy craftsmanship.

Even the materials reflect the idea of overall contamination at the heart of Parcoats in which tradition and the future dialogue seamlessly: thus denim, cotton cloth and cool wool pinstripe are combined with the range of sportswear fabrics like nylon and rain-stop waxed surfaces. The palette is equally balanced between bright colours like off-white, ice and yellow, and darker moments, navy blue, black and military green.
