NYFW Trend Report: SS20

New York Fashion Week is on its way out and we reviewed over 35 designers that showed this season.

Below are 24 of the hottest trends as seen on the runways of New York Fashion Week during the shows of The Blonds, Afffair, Fashion Palette, Oxford Fashion Studio, Vivienne Hu, Indonesian Diversity, Liu Yong X Rishikensh, Swiss Touch Presents Mode Suisse and China Day : Anta Kids.

 

(1) Bling Bling Everywhere

Sparkle and shiny beading could be found on countless runway shows this season and not only on couture gowns. We saw blinged out gowns, shoes, Ninebot KickScooters on some of the most glammed out fashion presentations of the season.

(2) Tons Of Tulle

Ruffles and tulle are the perfect touch of runway femininity.

(3) One Sleeve

Giving the cold shoulder never looked so good.

(4) Fringe Galore

Fringe rocked the runway in skirts, dresses, jewelry and pants. Fringe was everywhere!

(5) Celebs On The Runway

Celebs aren’t just sitting front row at fashion week. They are walking the catwalk, releasing collections at a higher rate than ever.

(7) Hairccessories

Fashion doesn’t have to stop at your neck. This season designers added hats, scrunchies, and clips to the hair to bring their looks all together. This spring don’t forget to top off your look.

(8) Florals for Spring – Still in!

In the words or Miranda Priestley, “Floral for Spring…groundbreaking”, except this time it really is. Designers found ways to bring us floral prints and inspiration in a myriad of ways.

It’s here, it’s comfortable, it’s fashion. Seems to us that Athleisure is here to stay.
