Negri Firman PR & Communication is proud to announce the beginning of a new collaboration with Afro Fashion Association, a non-profit organization founded in 2015 by Michelle Francine Ngonmo, for global Public Relations and Press Office activities on the occasion of the second edition of the Black Carpet Awards.
With offices in Italy, Cameroon, Ghana, and Rwanda, the Afro Fashion Association believes in the transformative potential of fashion, design, art, and culture as a means to build and sustain intercultural exchange, empowerment, and sustainable economic development. Its mission is to support continental collaborations and provide consultancy services, including partnerships with fashion brands and institutions such as the National Chamber of Italian Fashion. Additionally, it offers a platform for international investments directed towards African fashion, beauty, and arts, with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusion in the fields of fashion, design, and art through world-class events, talent cultivation, and education.
In February 2023, the association launched the Black Carpet Awards, a prestigious event celebrating excellence, diversity, and inclusion in the creative industry, which will take place on September 20th, 2024, during Milan Fashion Week. The event, designed to celebrate and honor pioneers who promote diversity and inclusion in the fields of fashion, design, art, culinary arts, music, technology, business, sports, and cinema, will host nearly 600 guests and will be an opportunity to raise awareness on the issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
