Monique Lhuillier Spring 2020 RTW

Monique Lhuillier Spring 2020 RTW

Monique Lhuillier Spring 2020 transports you to Northern Italy, to a luxurious sixteenth century palazzo sitting peacefully on the shores of Lake Como. The elevated taste of Italian nobility and style icon Marella Agnelli capture the essence of this season: jewel toned dresses and metallic brocade fabrics blossom into romantic yet dramatic silhouettes. Decadent beading and artisanal pleating captivate the fantasy of the modern Contessa.

Flowy capes and infinite trains become a statement of regality and lightness. Jewel tones like Aquamarine, Zircon, Amber and Burnt Sienna create a feminine, fresh palette. Relaxed and effortless beauty is becoming a consistent message of the Maison: fresh printed floral dresses are juxtaposed with structured and architectural faille gowns — here often paired with satin draped mules. A nostalgic homage to the 70s add to the Contessa wardrobe; pieces like pleated crepe jumpsuits, all white draped suiting and sophisticated organza sorbet-toned ensembles. Sheer headscarves and shawls are here to set the holiday mood when worn over printed jacquard suits and Tangerine Chiffon embellished must-haves.

It’s when the sun sets that femininity is at its peak with an embroidered, Deep Red robe and Dark Metallic Gold dress with a diamond encrusted belt. A regal-like portrait pictures a silk Moire Magenta infinite gown: the overall effect is undeniably alluring.
