MICAM Milano is once again positioning itself as a global stage for innovation with the return of its Emerging Designers program, a platform dedicated to discovering and elevating the next generation of international footwear talent.
Taking place from 13 to 15 September 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho, Italy, the initiative reinforces MICAM’s role as a meeting point between creativity, craftsmanship, and the global market.
Now in its ninth edition, Emerging Designers has become one of MICAM’s most distinctive formats. Launched in 2018, the program selects twelve designers each season through a jury of leading fashion and communications figures chaired by Ernesto Esposito. This year’s panel includes Sabrina Donadel, Ada Kokosar, Americo Cacciapuoti, Bojan Kostic, Sergio Zambon, and MICAM representatives Giovanna Ceolini and Giorgio Possagno.

The selected designers Eeclat, En Talons, Joel Wijangco, Maliko, Moon2gether, Nalebe, Paidal, Raphia, Stefano Mugnai, Te Dreamers Club, Tenconi and Wud will present their collections in a dedicated exhibition area designed to maximize visibility and facilitate encounters with international buyers, companies, and industry professionals. They will also participate in the MICAM Next program, sharing their creative journeys and future visions.
Rather than highlighting a single dominant trend, the 2026 lineup reveals a shared commitment to experimentation, material research, design quality, and functional innovation. The collections reflect a market where comfort, identity, and craftsmanship are increasingly central to consumer expectations.
“Supporting new talent means investing in the future of the entire footwear supply chain,” says Giovanna Ceolini, President of MICAM and Assocalzaturifici. Her statement underscores the show’s mission: to connect creativity with business and guide emerging designers from artistic exploration to entrepreneurial growth.

Giorgio Possagno, CEO of MICAM, adds: “Emerging Designers represents our commitment to fostering innovation and supporting the growth of new generations, creating opportunities to connect with the international market.”
As MICAM continues to evolve, the Emerging Designers program stands as a powerful observatory of future directions in footwear. In this incubator, new voices, both Italian and international, can find the visibility and industry access needed to scale globally. MICAM Milano will take place from 13 to 15 September at Fiera Milano Rho.
