Hot Summer Swimwear Trends

Hot Summer Swimwear Banana Moon Trends

With summer around the corner, chances are you have your summer vacation booked and are counting down the days. Perhaps you have numerous days out to the beach and the pool scheduled too, not to mention pool parties and plans for sunbathing in the garden once the warm weather finally kicks in- bliss!

This is the first summer since the start of the pandemic that we’re all free of restrictions, and so it’s the perfect opportunity to make the most of things and really live life to the fullest. With so many summer events on your calendar, you’ll of course need the right swimwear that makes you look your best and feel fantastic- and these hot summer swimwear trends will do exactly that! Here are 5 to consider, according to the experts.

Banana Moon: Crochet Bikinis

Crochet is a gorgeous boho trend; it’s often seen in free flowing and layered pieces, so it’s a fun, unusual twist seeing it in bikinis. But Banana Moon shows that it works brilliantly, along with a huge selection of different kinds of bikinis on their site we spotted some stunning crochet styles that would be perfect to mix and match with festival attire, or just to wear to the pool or beach.

WhoWhatWear: Luxe Gold Accents

According to expert fashion blogger WhoWhatWear, gold hardwear such as chains and hoops on swimsuits are going to go viral in 2022. They give a very stylish and luxe feel to bikinis and swimsuits, in much the same way that gold jewellery does. From delicate chains on bikini tops to chunky hoops on swimwear bottoms and everything in between, this is one that you’re likely to spot in the shops this summer.

Cosmopolitan: Barely There Bikinis

Perfect for bikini models, the super body confident, and those that don’t mind risque pieces! Minimalistic bikinis are ideal for topping up your tan and flaunting what you’ve got. According to Cosmo, these teeny tiny skimpy swimsuits are very much making a comeback in 2022. Think thong bottoms, strappy sides and triangle cups!

Stylecaster: The Tankini

Fashion website Stylecaster states that the tankini is back. Unlike tankinis of years gone by, it’s a chicer version with more of a crop top for the top half. If you want something with a little more coverage then it’s a fantastic option, if you’re in and out of the pool or perhaps at a water park or in the garden then this could be ideal. Pop on a sarong and you’re pretty much fully dressed which is handy if you’re on vacation and in and out of the hotel a lot.

Vogue: Ruffles

Ruffled swimwear became a trend again in 2021, but according to Vogue it’s not going anywhere this summer so it’s something we’re going to be seeing again. And who could complain- ruffles are sweet and feminine and work well on all kinds of clothing items including swimwear.

Which of the above trends get a thumbs up, or thumbs down from you? Will you be following any of these trends this summer?
