Gigi C Bikinis, the luxury swimwear brand founded by mother and daughter duo Gigi and Tina Caruso, will debut their Resort 2019 and Spring 2019 Collection for the first time during this year’s Miami Swim Week.
At just 18 years old, Gigi Caruso — whose eponymous collections fuse clean lines, architectural shapes, and crisp, laser-cut details — has set the standard as being the youngest designer in the show’s history.

Caruso designed her collection around the idea of needing a well-designed suit that would work for more than just your average beachgoer. Whether you are lounging beachside on a tropical island or partaking in an afternoon of action-packed adventures on the water, Gigi’s pieces represent the concept of functional meets chic.

After the successful launch of their first pop-up retail location at The Grove in Los Angeles this Spring, the emerging brand is excited to bring their collection and vision to life this Summer, July 14 at the annual Funkshion Runway Show alongside of other cutting edge brands.
“We see Miami as an important market and we are so proud and humbled as a young brand to be showing here just a year after launching our first collection,” says founder and designer Gigi Caruso. “Growing up on the water in Southern California and taking part in water activities had me always on the lookout for a swimsuit with the ‘perfect fit. Each piece from our collections are designed to be functional without having to compromise on style.”
The collection offers a range of chic separates and one-pieces that showcase the brand’s signature aesthetic – clean lines, architectural shapes, and crisp, laser-cut details. A bold palette of solid black, white, red, and blue draws focus to the sleek silhouettes and intricate details, including hand-braided accents, inverted pleats and wrap-around silhouettes. Expert design features, such as luxury seam finishes and adjustable closures, give each piece support and structure, while exquisite, lightweight fabrics ensure a smooth, supple feel that accentuate the body.
Achieving the perfect fit is Gigi and Tina’s priority. Gigi C Bikinis are all perfectly contoured, comfortable and functional. Each style goes through a rigorous fit process in the company’s Los Angeles design studio and is carefully refined over a series of fittings. The patterns are then cut and sewn with expert precision. Before designs are put into final production, they are tested by Gigi to ensure their unique style, glamorous lines and durability. This commitment to style and the highest quality extends to every step of the manufacturing process, with in-house Quality Control overseeing and inspecting each phase of production to ensure all pieces are perfected before they ever hit the beach.

ABOUT GIGI C BIKINIS
Gigi C Bikinis is a modern collection of luxury swimwear founded by 18-year-old Gigi Caruso and her mother, Tina. The company was founded on the belief that a great swimsuit should enhance your style—never inhibit it. Born and raised in Southern California, Gigi grew up on the water. She is an avid boater, wakeboarder, snorkeler, and swimmer. The beautiful beachwear she loved to wear was far too delicate to withstand being an active lover of the beach and watersports. Unable to find pieces that reflected her personal style, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Together with Tina—a former clothing designer and swimsuit model—Gigi began deconstructing and cutting up her old swimsuits and refashioning them into chic styles that are glamorous and stylish, and could withstand waves. The duo also referenced Tina’s modeling photos for inspiration by redesigning the classic styles she wore with fresh new twists. After two years of research and development, they officially launched Gigi C Bikinis in 2017.
