Francesca Miranda: NYFW Bridal

Francesca Miranda Bridal Fashion Week New York

Represented by ODA PR.

Take a step back in time to the golden ages, the imaginary past where prosperity and power ruled the land. The Francesca Miranda Fall 2018 Bridal Collection draws on inspiration from the mid 16th century, the idyllic past translated into the present days of our modernized world.

Playing on the sophistication of royal attire, every gown was designed with clean silhouettes and classic details. Metallic infused woven jacquards and guipure laces tie the two eras together creating a majestic collection for every bride with limitless dreams.

Each Francesca Miranda gown is handmade by female artisans in her Barranquilla, Colombia headquarters. By employing nearly 40 full-time artisans, Francesca’s atelier preserves traditional craftsmanship and empowers the artistic women in her community. Nearly 90% of the women employed by Francesca Miranda are considered head of household or “madres cabeza de familia”, being primary income or sole income providers for their families. “This work isn’t part of an agenda, it’s our responsibility. This country has given me so much- the people, the culture, the land. We have to give back, we have to support each other, we have to make each other feel beautiful” – Francesca Miranda
