Feng Chen Wang Autumn/Winter Collection 2026 Two Forces, One Motion

This season moves away from literal storytelling toward a more fundamental inquiry: how opposing forces exist side by side, reach a balance, and continue to evolve. Rooted in the Chinese philosophical concept of 2 Forces (Liang Yi ), this collection is built on the idea of two forces-not as opposition, but as a system of balance in constant motion.

The runway unfolds within an energy field filled with mythical creatures between the sea and mountain. They represent contrasting impulses: order and structure on one side, instinct and transformation on the other. Rather than resolving into harmony, these forces remain in active tension, sustaining a dynamic equilibrium.

Models walk alongside real pets, grounding the concept in lived reality. Human and animal move together, allowing reason and instinct, structure and emotion, to coexist naturally within the same space.

Controlled, architectural tailoring appears alongside deconstructed panels. Structured coats and suiting establish clear boundaries, while relaxed nylon fabrics, enlarged proportions, and gathered silhouettes release the body into freer movement. Restraint and ease are held within a single look.

Material contrast plays a central role. Wool, down, and leather form a dense, grounded base, lightweight textiles, and animal-like surfaces. Ink-splashed and scratch-marked textures are not decorative, but traces left when order is interrupted: subtle, yet deliberate.

Denim becomes a key medium. Hand-dyed and treated through multiple processes, it carries a surface that feels repeatedly worked by time. Against deep tonal grounds, layered dye techniques allow roughness and control to coexist. Knitwear paired with nylon introduces softened, diffused color within stable structures.

Coinciding with the Lunar Year of the Horse, recurring Dragon-Horse charms appear throughout the collection, referencing vitality and cyclical momentum; offering a quiet yet resolute grounding.

This season is contradiction and restraint. Tension and balance.
Opposition that advances rather than resolves.

Composed within vastness, steady in motion.
Moving forward through tension, yet without losing control.
