Eastwood Danso is a London-based contemporary label deeply rooted in heritage. Drawing inspiration from “Nkrumaism” and world affairs, Ghanaian-German designer Eastwood Danso weaves an intimate frame of reference driven through imagery from family archives, mainly explored from the mid-80s to the early 2000s. The inherited vision of Eastwood Danso is expressed through various artistic mediums, including ready-to-wear garments, accessories and objects.
“Wicked Love” is Eastwood Danso’s sophomore collection, pondering the notion of malleable self-determination by virtue of our ever-globalised world. The collection’s essence is a pensive introspection of the Danso family’s voyage across not only the world, but the myriad dimensions of the human experience as they migrate from the southern to northern hemispheres. Danso’s deep reflection on the sacrifices made by his parents in furtherance of their edified future became the catalyst for his design and namesake for the resulting collection.
