Designer Cristina Nitopi returned to NYFW to present latest Spring/ Summer Collection

Luxury fashion is about detail.

The textured touch of a premium fabric. The silky shine of sumptuous European material.

Cristina Nitopi

The creativity and craftsmanship behind each stunning, original design – and the elegant opulence of finishes that feel as glamorous as they look.

The luxurious Cristina Nitopi label wears the designer’s Sicilian heritage proudly on its stylish sleeves.

The announcement that the Sydney-based fashion designer with an international reputation, Cristina Nitopi herself, received the Business Excellence Awards 2021 – Acquisition International, is a reminder that childhood dreams truly can come true.

Nitopi realized her long-held ambition to have her own fashion show in New York when her label burst onto the scene at NYFW, in 2007. Since then, the Cristina Nitopi label has been a fashion industry success story that has explored both men’s and women’s designs, with inspiration that has its heart in the designer’s Italian background. It’s a connection that infuses the Cristina Nitopi label with a European feel, with the finest materials – think luxuriously soft fabric, combined with unexpected textures – showcasing an innovative, contemporary edge to classic design foundations.

ABOUT Cristina Nitopi

Cristina was born in Sydney, Australia, on March 12, 1982.

Her Italian background helped fuel her passion for beautiful fashion – inspired by her own mother’s talent for creating and sewing original patterns that became much-loved pieces in Cristina’s childhood wardrobe.

When Cristina graduated from school, she continued studies in Counselling and Psychology. Her artistic pursuits later motivated her to self- study fashion which led her to launch her own fashion label in 2007, at New York Fashion Week.

Being raised in a family of fashion-lovers, with a mother who was a talented dressmaker, is, Nitopi says, an important part of her own journey as a designer. Her own childhood memories of the special joy she felt in her mother’s beautifully-crafted, original designs, have stayed with her – a feeling she is excited to share with her own audience of luxury fashion-lovers.

Since then, the sought-after Cristina Nitopi label has been shown at a variety of iconic international Fashion Week events around the world.
