Get Closer
In a visual metaphor for shared moments and interactions, the 16th-century cloister of Palazzo Durini, the historic home of Corneliani in Milan, transforms into a celebration of life and camaraderie among men – a dance of symbolic gestures representing the various ways they connect and greet one another.
The circle emerges as the quintessential shape to encompass these experiences, evoking the immersive art of Marina Apollonio via an elevated platform: a round, rotating stage, surrounded by an equally circular runway. This setup captures the essence and desire for connection that inspiresthe new Corneliani collection, emphasizing how contemporary living and dressing serve as tools for communication and unity among people.
The special performance, curated by choreographer Kate Coyne – the Artistic Director of the Central School of Ballet in London – stars three professional dancers embodying the rhythm of life as envisioned by Corneliani. Meanwhile, models walk the outer platform to present a complete vision of the new season’s looks.
Just as a garment transcends mere fabric to become an extension of our identity and emotions, the Corneliani collection unfolds as a visual language filled with stories of connection and beauty. Each element is an invitation to step into a circle of timeless elegance and style, bridging the brand’s heritage with its modern flair.
Corneliani
New proportions reinterpret the Corneliani aesthetic with a sharper, more defined look, evident in the slim, tailored cuts of trousers worn beneath the relaxed, generous lines of outerwear and knitwear.
Variations of volume get closer and switch in a sartorial symphony that highlights traditional Italian wools such as gabardine, tricotine, and cover armatures – carefully selected to enhance the identity and impact of silhouettes through their rich, threedimensional textures. Likewise rooted in classic influences, the color palette features essential shades of gray, black, and brown, accented by natural hues and vibrant pops of lime green, moss green, and antique pink.
Iconic menswear pieces, elevated with subtle, sophisticated details, include single-breasted and double-breasted coats crafted from pure cashmere, luxuriously soft nappa leather jackets, and cozy, enveloping knitwear made from premium yarns with
mélange effects and gradient needlework.
Beyond exquisite tailoring, the house’s artisanal excellence is also manifested in the meticulous crafting of leather footwear, completing the looks with robust shapes and lug soles on both ankle boots and lace-up styles finished with raised stitching.
