CHOCHENGCO Introduces “Pretty Peplum”, a Sustainable Couture Collection during Couture Paris Fashion Week

CHOCHENGCO unveils its new Couture collection, Pretty Peplum, in Paris on January 27th, 2026, during Paris Couture Fashion Week.

Presented in the heart of Paris, the show marks a new chapter for the brand, embracing couture as both an aesthetic and a sustainable statement. Inspired by the iconic film Pretty Woman, the collection draws from Hollywood glamour and cinematic femininity, introducing white looks as a symbol of optimism and renewal.

At the heart of the collection is the peplum, a signature silhouette for the house, reimagined as the centrepiece of Pretty Peplum. Sculptural yet soft, it reflects a modern couture vision where tradition meets charm. The collection also explores rich textures through hand-ruched organza evoking fox fur, reinterpreted in a fully vegan approach. Crafted from vegan materials such as cotton bouclé and cotton velvet, the palette balances bold reds with newly introduced whites for lightness and contrast. The set design is inspired by Irving Penn’s portraits of Georgia O’Keeffe and Marlene Dietrich.

Craftsmanship and sustainability define CHOCHENGCO’s couture direction. Rooted in artisanal techniques and organic processes, the collection celebrates made-to-order couture to minimize waste. While presented in Paris, Pretty Peplum is crafted in London, with plans underway to relocate the atelier to Paris. The result is a joyful and responsible couture expression where cinematic fantasy meets modern ethics.

ABOUT CHOCHENGCO

CHOCHENGCO, founded by designer Cho Cho Cheng, is a distinguished womenswear label renowned for its meticulous craftsmanship, cinematic inspiration and commitment to sustainability. With a flagship on New York’s Fifth Avenue, the brand works exclusively with 100% natural, cruelty-free materials, and each garment is hand-sewn in London using traditional Savile Row techniques, forgoing commercial interfacing and machine finishing in favor of a fully bespoke approach. Now presenting its second show in Paris during Haute Couture Week ahead of its 20th anniversary in 2026, CHOCHENGCO continues its return to Couture with a new season inspired by Pretty Woman and the peplum, featuring cotton organdie ruffles reminiscent of peonies and a playful reinterpretation of glamorous fox fur reimagined in a vegan, ethical and contemporary way.
