Camilla And Marc Resort 2020 Collection

Camilla And Marc Resort 2020 Collection

Represented by Karla Otto.

Order and disorder, calm and chaos. For Resort 20, CAMILLA AND MARC looked to the dichotomy of elements that exist in the world, in all of humanity to find revelation, clarity and purpose.

The beauty of equilibrium is revealed through minimalism, with clean silhouettes and modest fabrications set against bold textural elements to reveal a dynamic dance between power and purity.

Classic tailoring and signature overstated proportions are realized in soft, feminine volumes in a playful, romantic score. Wrapping and layering offer a softness, strung with drawstrings that gather at the wrist, neckline and waist to articulate the female form.

A palette of optic white, sunburst, vibrant pink and cobalt blue offer a celebratory mood, grounded in toffee, khaki, stone and black. Distorted and overblown florals are explored through ditsy and oversize iterations. Prints are washed over voluminous dresses with diaphanous sleeves and skirt shapes to create drama, grounded with classic menswear tailoring techniques.

Soft suiting in butter lemon and carbon black leather in shirting and flared trousers add a contemporary twist to nostalgic styles. Sharp shoulders are accentuated by cinched waists, exalting the female form.

A signature CAMILLA AND MARC twist sees a voluminous riff on classic cocktail gowns, as sculptured panel lines and cut-out detailing evoke a sultry European evening in summer.

Looks are anchored by robust slides or tethered by delicately-strapped leather sandals. Color-blocked shoulder bags can be worn around the waist and wristlet pouches signal a return to femininity. Custom-print scarves in minimalist, typographic marking extrude the silhouette.

Against lonely landscapes, there is strength in the CAMILLA AND MARC woman; the beauty in the imbalance, the embrace of the imperfection that feeds us.
