British Fashion Awards 2014

The British Fashion Council just announced the winners of the British Fashion Awards 2014.
Perhaps not surprisingly, Anna Wintour took home the award for Outstanding Achievement. (Would anyone — even the BFC — dare to nominate her and then not give her the award?) The award itself was presented by John Galliano, whose rehabilitation into fashion society seems to be complete. (We may even yet see another incarnation of the wonderful if unfortunately named “Essence of John Galliano” candle by Diptuqye).

Another conspicuous winner was Cara Delevingne, taking home Model of the Year for the second time. The award was presented by Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls and Poppy Delevingne.
Voted for by over 400 members of the global fashion industry, more than 2,000 people gathered to celebrate the successes of the fashion industry over the past year with guests including Samantha Cameron, Anna Wintour OBE, Valentino Garavani, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Harry Styles, Lana del Rey and Kylie Minogue.
One person conspicuously absent, who made a wonderful splash last season? The wonderful, never forgotten L’Wren Scott. You are missed.
