Braschi Fall/Winter 2019-2020 Collection

Braschi Fall/Winter 2019-2020 Collection

Represented by Guitar Advertising & PR.

A mnemonic trace re-elaborates seventies style and an irresistible geometric graphicism borrowed from the Op Art of Victor Vasarely to become a manifesto of sophisticated and vivacious femininity expressed through sartorial, sophisticated, and vibrant furs.

Endless swirls of intertwining textures and colors are the common thread that Braschi follows to get straight to the heart of feminine identity through fur couture in which the 70’s trend is reinterpreted in a modern, refined and chic way. The collection is inspired by the paintings of Victor Vasarely in which the perfection of circles, squares, rectangles and zigzags repeated to create a three-dimensional effect is translated intocheckerboards, waves, diamonds, stripes and mosaics. Everything is reworked in outerwear with contrasts, veined with optical illusions according to a revolution based on the fundamental principle of the geometric reduction of interweaving. Thanks to Italian artisan workmanship, this everyday luxury born from art is able to make a difference in dailywear and on the most important occasions.

STYLES AND SILHOUETTES

Enveloping length makes the difference in vests and more formal outerwear and jackets. Vests are quite long, down to the feet, and have a trapeze silhouette, narrow above and wide below. Mink coats have unique intarsia that create a woven effect, similar to a geometric patterned rug with several colors in hexagonal shapes and Lurex inserts. Short and long capes and ponchos are made with assemblage and intarsia techniques in four or five colors, in which the perfection of geometric elements is reflected in precise shapes and proportions.

MATERIALS

The fine furs are the same ones that have distinguished the maison for years and made it a synonym with luxury. Sable, lynx, mink, chinchilla and fox are the precious furs used, the protagonists of intarsia through which all of the maison’s artisan skill and sublime aesthetic sense emerge, born from couture.
Mink is the star, combined with sable or fox and even with exotic spotted pelts. Long lynx fur and colorful chinchilla are assembled with fox inspired by the 70’s in a dazzling, contemporary reinterpretation.

PALETTE

Color is essential for the fur maison and follows its nature, embracing the most intense influences and fusions. Juxtaposed nuances are used to create intarsia, designs and color combinations with striking impact. The intense palette, combined with superb workmanship, has created patterns and geometric shapes on furs as if they were silk fabrics.
