Boots, Buckles & 80s Fever: What’s Hot at BFSHOW

Brazil’s largest footwear fair, BFSHOW, is set to unveil a season of striking contrasts this November in São Paulo. With over 350 brands and more than 12,000 buyers expected, the fifth edition of the event promises a dynamic showcase of Fall/Winter 2026 trends that fuse timeless elegance with unapologetic edge.

The event, hosted by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) and organized by NürnbergMesse Brasil, will take place from November 10–12 at the Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo/SP.

Duality Defines the Season

According to trend forecasters at Fashion Directions, the upcoming season will be dominated by a powerful counterpoint: ladylike refinement versus rebellious streetwear. Expect stilettos, peep toes, and modernized sandals to coexist with bold boots adorned with metal accents and buckles. The classic is being reimagined, while the rebellious finds new sophistication.

Boots take center stage in multiple silhouettes—slouchy, over-the-knee, stretch, and varied shaft heights—offering versatility and drama. Designers are also playing with unexpected materials, impactful details, and sculptural heels. Pointed elongated toes, modern square shapes, and high vamps signal a fresh take on femininity.

80s Maximalism Returns

Minimalism steps aside as the 80s make a vibrant comeback. Think saturated colors, intense shine, and statement pieces that defy restraint. Boho remains relevant, but this time it’s wrapped in cozy textures and warm tones, adding depth to the season’s narrative.

Luana Savadintzky, co-founder of Fashion Directions, calls this revival “a break from austerity,” inviting buyers and designers to embrace expressive fashion once again.

Brazil’s Global Footprint

Organized by Abicalçados and NürnbergMesse Brasil, BFSHOW has become Latin America’s premier footwear event, drawing importers from over 20 countries—including Germany, Canada, Israel, and Nigeria. Even markets that don’t yet import Brazilian footwear are taking notice, thanks to the industry’s reputation for quality, sustainability, and competitive pricing.

From niche labels to powerhouse manufacturers, Brazil’s footwear scene is ready to make waves—and BFSHOW is the launchpad.
