Fall 2024 takes the romantic tendencies of BADGLEY MISCHKA BRIDE into a version of the future.
We are always seduced by the romance and allure of a grand gesture, of a sweeping staircase and a lingering look. We combined this with ideas of the Italian Futurists — motion can be captured, lines should be dynamic, and clothes must “provide novel and constant enjoyment”. This collection seeks to marry the wonder and glamour of Yesterday with the world of Tomorrow.
Fabrics are liquid or gossamer or structured. Classic Mikado and crepe are updated with stretch fibers; laces are glazed with crystal and seed beads. Delicate vintage embroideries are made new with metallic thread and glazing.
