When it’s worn with the rest of the outfit on, a hoodie will still have a distinct shape and movement that serves well in street style. A thin sweatshirt will fold down over the body and can completely fall under a coat/clothing layer. If you have very wide trousers, it can extend up to the pocket area and the top of the trousers and thus cover the waist band of such wide trousers.
Boxier zip-ups, big chest pieces, cropped hoods/clean graphic styles offer extra options for you because their lower, front, back and side aspects are visible at the hems. It’s not something you should overlook, as the outfit around the hoodie is as important. Depending on the jeans cut, wide jeans, straight denim, leather jackets, long skirts and sweatpants all alter the look.
Boxy Zip-Up Hoodies with Wide Jeans
One of the easiest hoodies to go with baggy jeans is a spacious zip-up hoodie. Bring an exquisite charcoal hoodie with shoulders and a hem that wraps around the upper hip. A close-pressed white tank will sit below, which will be offset with faded blue wide-leg jeans and black canvas sneakers.
Leave the sweatshirt open. The upper half of the tank is not entirely dark fleece as it stays visible from the neckline to the waistband. It’s not necessary to dress up the jeans and swap them out for a tight version, as long as they are still wide.
The zipper will close, as will the outfit. The sweatshirt will be the entire top and the beginning of the denim will be below the ribbed hem. It is a brilliant alternative for hoodies with an odd zippered drawstring, as well as for those featuring chest embroidery or a washed finish that’s worthy to see.
You can wear a longer zip-up the same way except that more of the jeans will be covered at the sides. It’s still visible when it’s open, so what did you expect?
Heavy Pullovers with Straight-Leg Denim
The pullover isn’t like the zip hoodie where the front is exposed, thus the length takes a back seat. Dark blue straight-leg jeans are another great option, allowed by a dark, gray hooded jacket that reaches the top of the hips.
Don’t put the sweatshirt inside the waistband. The top end holds the vestige, while the sharp denim and leather shoes lend a more polished touch to the base end. The faded jeans, the skate shoes and the matching hoodie give a much casual look.
Below the sweatshirt, nothing has changed, it’s just what people are doing. The heavy material also aids in retaining some volume behind the hood. That’s important when it’s the outside layer that doesn’t get taken off.
An extremely light hood fits snugly over the back, including after washing. Similarly, large cuffs and a stiff ribbed hem will help. They add an end to the sleeves and the torso of the sweatshirt, as opposed to it just falling after the waist to look like a long jersey top.
Give Graphic Hoodies Room Around the Artwork
No large cream chest graphic will need to be placed in a printed piece immediately below the black graphic hoodies. Pair with straight, ecru jeans and black suede sneakers. The graphic reprints the cream in the trousers, with no additional image.
In the pictures, one can still see three distinct suits, black sweatshirt, light denim, black shoes. Positioning of the print also plays a role in the way the outerwear looks. If a graphic is in the center of the chest, it can be seen under an opened jacket.
Challenges to fit artwork should overlap lapels or form a double coverage around the shoulders and be a bomber jacket. After another print is created on top, a large Back print vanishes entirely. If the back is the most robust section of the hoodie, then use it as the top article, and put on a long-sleeved T-shirt underneath for buffering the impact.
The print is not covered and the shirt will still show at the sleeves at the cuffs in the case of slightly longer sleeves. Graphic work that has been done for all-over doesn’t require as much assistance. There’s more than enough detail there already from a busy hoodie over plain washed black jeans. Shoes need not be complex: black skate shoes, a pair of simple shoes that’re fashioned from leather or a dark running shoe with no additional big logo.
Washed Hoodies with Cleaner Trousers
A damaged or worn-out hoodie has a few shades of the same color in it. Black fleece will burn along the seams to charcoal and then blacken throughout on the chest with almost white edges on burned-out areas.
Any of these variations are easy to spot when you’re wearing the hoodie over clean dark blue jeans and black leather boots. The denim creates one fairly smooth surface under the eye. But it is possible to go in reverse as well.
A ripped up hoodie with other ripped up jeans makes you pretty raggedy looking, especially when the shoes too are ripped. This makes sense, when you want to go from top to bottom into the same type of aging. An ordinary worn thing is simpler to deal with, where one has been treated heavily.
A charcoal washed zip up, dark straight jeans and brown suede shoes is sufficient. Place a white T-shirt to be exposed at the neck. The white keeps the dark gray out of the face and the brown footwear does not colour the entire outfit into black and gray.
Cropped Hoodies with High-Waisted Denim
A cropped hoodie will create more space for the trousers to go on display.
Wearing baggy jeans with a high waistband, opt for a sweatshirt that reaches the waistband instead of a slinky little trendy crop. If you wish to cover when the arms are extended, put a fitted tank under it.
Sneakers or low leather shoes will complete the outfit without altering the balance of the hoodie and jeans connotation. This cut is convenient for the fit of jeans with dual waistbands, large front pockets, contrasting stitching or a belt that has been decorated.
Those details still come through to the surface rather than getting lost beneath multiple inches of sweatshirt. A cropped zip-up can also be worn with long skirts. Imagine a dark gray hoodie, black satin middle length skirt and black ankle boots. Partially or completely unzip the fitted black top. The knit hoodie completes the garments, and the pants go all the way almost to the boots.
Even with very similar colors there are still a couple noticeable differences between thick fleece and smooth satin. It does not have to be very tight to the body.It doesn’t need to be skin tight. A straight midi that makes enough room to walk around keeps the outfit practical.
A Hoodie Under a Leather Jacket
The sweatshirt must fit under the jacket to be worn.
A leather jacket fits just right over a t-shirt, but may feel too heavy over a heavy hoodie. The issue typically occurs in the upper arms, shoulders and back. Place them both on and stretch out reaching forward.
Also, if it pulls across the back and/or if the sweatshirt has layers of sweats that get bunched up in the back of the jacket, the outfit will be uncomfortable no matter how well it looks when it is on display. A larger black leather jacket over a charcoal hoodie is easier.
Combined with faded blue straight jeans and black lace-up boots these two pieces of clothing are perfect. Slide the hood out from the center of the jacket collar, and leave the leather jacket open.
The hood is easily seen at the back, and the sweatshirt slots in between the 2 front pockets of the jacket. A bomber functions much the same. However, its ribbed hem may line up close to the hoodie’s hem.
If they finish the race nearly the same distance from the finish line, they can group together. Each layer gets a bit of an advantage over a bomber that reaches to a different length over a hoodie.
Matching Hoodie and Sweatpants Outside the House
A matching sweat set can be used as street gear and just swapped out into the other piece to achieve this.
Begin with a black charcoal long sleeve hoodie and straight leg charcoal sweatpants. Sneakers in white leather and an olive-colored work jacket. The jacket adds a collar, buttons and stiffer cotton top to the loose-fitting gray set.
A navy knee-length coat equips you with a different wardrobe. Do not put the coat away folded up or leave the hood up without being attached to the coat. The gray sweatshirt and trousers are clearly joined from chest to ankle and covered with a navy coat, creating a long outer garment that hangs down.
To look more like a pair of trousers, open-hem sweatpants would be a good choice for this ensemble. Cuffed sweatpants show ankle and more shoes. It just makes the hoodie look simple. Coat, snaps and matching trousers are required, with another large chest graphic available if desired.
What Makes One Hoodie Easier to Style Than Another
First check the point of termination of the hem.
Hoodies that reach up to the hip part of the trousers will leave more of them exposed and are convenient for wide jeans. A longer frame provides more body coverage and is ideal for tailoring bodycon clothing.
Two cutouts allow for a mere peek and work with high rise trousers or long skirts. Next, examine the sleeves. When worn as a stand-alone garment, a hoodie will be shaped by having dropped shoulders and wide sleeves.
Additionally, they want more space within a jacket. The hood should lie flat when it is down. On a heavier sweatshirt it normally has enough fabric to remain visible behind the neck. The hood of the second jacket is not placed inside the first jacket (but outside) and should not overpower the shoulders of the first jacket.
The final step is to examine the underside of the hoodie and make your choices. Printed trousers can go with a plain fleece, featuring both jewellery or dressy jackets. Those elements are already included when adding a graphic detail to the rhinestone, distressed, embroidered or all-out graphic hoodie.
