For his debut at Paris Haute Couture Week, showcasing his collection inspired by the enduring relationship between mother and child, Manish Malhotra presents MAA.
Rooted in personal memory yet expressed through the language of couture, the collection explores creation, identity and legacy across four chapters: Cocoon, Bond, Becoming and Abundance.
The collection opens with Cocoon – The nurturing heart, where sculptural silhouettes evoke the earliest stages of life. Rounded volumes, architectural balloon forms and enveloping constructions create a sense of protection and intimacy, transforming couture into both structure and shelter.
From this foundation emerges Bond – The knots of life, where silhouettes soften and movement begins to unfold. Fluid drapery layered construction and sculpted forms reflect the invisible connection between mother and child, balancing strength with lightness through contemporary couture techniques.

In Becoming- Finding my voice, craftsmanship takes centre stage. Manish Malhotra reinterprets India’s artisanal heritage through an elevated couture lens, bringing together vintage salli embroidery, taban sequins, zardozi, resham, crystal work and meticulous hand embroidery. Precision tailoring and architectural corsetry are balanced with fluid evening silhouettes, expressing the evolution of identity through exceptional craftsmanship.
The collection culminates with Abundance – In full bloom, where couture becomes a celebration of legacy. Monumental gowns, dramatic proportions and richly embellished surfaces embody the enduring values passed from one generation to the next – strength, grace and resilience transformed into sculptural form.
Throughout MAA, personal references remain quietly woven into the collection. Blush and rose hues inspired by Manish Malhotra’s mother, floral motifs drawn from her favourite blooms, and jewellery-inspired embellishments become intimate expressions of remembrance, translated through the precision of couture.
As an extension of MAA, Manish Malhotra High Jewellery transforms extraordinary gemstones into singular works of artistry. Monumental diamonds, exceptional rubies, luminous kunzites, vivid rubellites and rare sapphires are brought together through master craftsmanship, creating sculptural jewels that echo the collection’s celebration of motherhood in its most timeless and enduring form.
