Drag Queens Storm the Runway as Planet Fashion TV Delivers a Love Letter to Miami

Palace South Beach, Miss USA 2025 Audrey Eckert, Eliad Cohen, and International Designers Bring Fashion, Pride, and Miami Culture Together for One of Swim Week’s Most Memorable Moments

As Pride Month officially began, one of Miami Swim Week’s most talked-about moments unfolded at the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel as Planet Fashion TV’s official Saturday Night Showcase transformed from a traditional runway presentation into an unforgettable celebration of fashion, entertainment, diversity, and Miami culture.

Produced in partnership with Paraiso Miami Beach Swim Week, the showcase brought together an international lineup of designers spanning sustainable swimwear, luxury resort wear, lingerie, menswear, and emerging fashion talent.

The evening featured collections from AVIDLOVE, Beau Swim, Cassandra Youngs, Dur Doux, Eliad Cohen Swim, Josephine’s Closet, and Vana Swim, creating a dynamic presentation that reflected many of the trends currently shaping contemporary fashion: confidence, inclusivity, individuality, sustainability, and resort-inspired glamour.

Yet the evening’s defining moment came when Palace South Beach unexpectedly took over the runway.

Palace South Beach’s “Love Letter to Miami” became one of the most photographed moments of Miami Swim Week. Seen Missy Meyakie LePaige.

Presented as a special collaboration between Palace South Beach, Planet Fashion TV, and Eliad Cohen Swim, the “Love Letter to Miami” presentation blended drag artistry, fashion, performance, and storytelling into a larger celebration of Miami’s LGBTQ+ community and cultural identity.

Set against oversized visuals featuring crashing ocean waves, floating love letters, confetti, and messages celebrating Miami, Palace performers appeared in dramatic, couture-inspired looks with crystal embellishments, feathers, flowing chiffon, fantasy styling, and unapologetic glamour.

“This was never intended to be simply a drag performance,” said Tom Donall, owner of Palace South Beach. “It was a love letter to Miami, to our community, and to the generations of artists, performers, dreamers, and changemakers who helped build the city we know today.”

The finale celebrated Miami, Pride Month, and the city’s longstanding tradition of creativity, inclusivity, and self-expression. Seen Palace GM Aj Prasaguet & Celebrity-Influencer designer Eliad Cohen.

FASHION TAKES CENTER STAGE

While the drag takeover generated some of the loudest applause of the evening, the runway itself showcased a compelling cross-section of where swimwear, resort wear, lingerie, and contemporary fashion are heading next.

Across nearly every collection, designers embraced body confidence over traditional beauty standards, showcasing a diverse range of models, silhouettes, and styles that reflected the growing movement toward inclusivity and individuality throughout fashion.

From menswear to resort wear, lingerie to swim, the runway reinforced a simple but powerful message: confidence is the new luxury.

AVIDLOVE opened the evening with confidence-driven lingerie and intimate apparel inspired by empowerment, sensuality, and individuality.

AVIDLOVE brought fashion-forward lingerie and intimate apparel to the runway, combining ethereal styling, intricate detailing, and contemporary femininity. Winged looks, sheer fabrics, and confidence-driven silhouettes blurred the line between lingerie and fashion presentation.

Josephine’s Closet continued that narrative with one of the evening’s most visually provocative collections, combining swimwear, lingerie, glamour, and influencer-era aesthetics into a celebration of self-expression and confidence without apology.

Josephine’s Closet combined swimwear, lingerie, and social-media-era glamour into one of the evening’s boldest presentations.

The evening’s menswear presence proved equally strong.

Eliad Cohen Swim delivered one of the most energetic presentations of the night, pairing confident swimwear silhouettes with a celebration of individuality, Pride, and community. The collection’s integration with Palace South Beach’s runway takeover elevated it beyond a traditional menswear presentation, making it one of Swim Week’s most memorable moments.

One of the evening’s notable runway appearances came courtesy of Miss USA 2025 Audrey Eckert, who walked for the luxury resort-wear label Dur Doux.

Known for its elevated destination dressing and sophisticated coastal aesthetic, Dur Doux presented a collection rooted in travel, craftsmanship, and modern luxury. Flowing silhouettes, elegant textures, and resort-inspired styling reflected the continued demand for versatile pieces that transition seamlessly from beach destinations to evening experiences.

Cassandra Youngs introduced her “Sirens of the Sea” collection, bringing sustainability and ocean-inspired storytelling to the runway through intricate detailing, flowing silhouettes, and contemporary femininity.

Meanwhile, Spanish label Vana Swim offered one of the evening’s most refined presentations, pairing romantic resort aesthetics with sophisticated swimwear and after-dark styling inspired by global travel and Mediterranean glamour.

Beau Swim continued the night’s emphasis on sustainability and inclusivity, showcasing swimwear for both men and women while reinforcing the growing industry movement toward environmentally conscious fashion.

Cassandra Youngs’ “Sirens of the Sea” collection celebrated sustainability, femininity, and ocean-inspired design.

Vana Swim brought European-inspired sophistication and romantic resort glamour to Miami Swim Week.

Beau Swim presented sustainable swimwear designed for a diverse range of body types and lifestyles.

As Miami Swim Week 2026 comes to a close and Pride Month begins, Planet Fashion TV’s Saturday Night Showcase offered more than a runway presentation.

It offered a snapshot of where fashion is heading next.

Across swimwear, resort wear, lingerie, and menswear, designers embraced confidence, individuality, inclusivity, sustainability, and self-expression. The runway reflected a fashion industry increasingly interested in authenticity rather than conformity, community rather than exclusivity, and storytelling rather than spectacle alone.

The drag queens may have generated the biggest headlines, but the lasting story was something larger.

Fashion, culture, Pride, entertainment, and Miami itself came together on one runway for a celebration that felt uniquely of the moment — and unmistakably Miami.
