Being invited to work at Florida Men’s Fashion Week in Miami as a lead specialist is priceless. At such moments, you realize that all the work you’ve done over the years hasn’t been in vain.
It’s an unspoken recognition of your talent and achievements. I think every professional who has experienced this understands what I’m talking about. The moment I received the invitation, it felt like wings had sprouted on my back.
I certainly understand that my work is unique in its kind because the technique I use and teach my students was developed by me over many years. I have used my technique more than 1000 times, and it works every time. I am infinitely grateful for the opportunity to help people and train them; this gives me the strength and energy to achieve more.
Eyebrows play a significant role in a person’s appearance; they immediately change the gaze and the perception of the face as a whole. During Man Fashion Week, it was important not only to correctly define the eyebrows with color and texture, but also to do it quickly and efficiently.
For each look, I selected individual colors and techniques for coloring, and I discussed with each designer separately how the men’s eyebrows should look to complement the overall image. The correct application and modeling technique allows you to create the effect of a natural structure, meaning the eyebrows will look beautiful without being heavy or overly graphic, with a light accent. It’s also important to understand that the image on camera and in real life will be two different pictures, and we specifically calculated how to choose the color to get the desired result on the runway.
It’s no secret that selecting and styling eyebrows for each designer, while ensuring it matches their style and don’t detract from the overall masculinity of the look, is a huge system. And the level of preparation required for Fashion Week demands years of training. Men’s eyebrows require special attention: they must be neat, but at the same time, they must match the references of each designer. To work within such a system, it was necessary to select a universal eyebrow style that would suit everyone, while also reflecting the style of each designer and being easily modified and adapted to each individual. For this purpose, a complex, multi-level system for working with men’s eyebrows was developed.
It’s also important to emphasize that the deadlines for this task were extremely tight: a large number of shows and different eyebrow types required a clear understanding of the process and immediate reaction. That’s why my professionalism and many years of experience allowed me to quickly adapt to the tasks and perform the work at the highest level, maintaining aesthetics, accuracy, and quality of the result.
Overall, this experience inspired me to create a course to teach and share all the secrets of my techniques so that my future students can also work at fashion weeks, understanding how to work correctly with celebrities of varying levels of fame. I am grateful that I can scale my techniques and apply my knowledge to the fullest. I believe that personal fulfillment as a professional comes when you see how the results of your work help other people and change their lives.
