Ujoh Fall-Winter 2025 Collection Paris Fashion Week

With their Fall-Winter 2025 collection, Aco and Mitsuru Nishizaki revive the memories of a Japanese youth shaped by the school uniform.

A tribute to the ‘90s, an era when high school students, under the radar of established rules, crafted their own sartorial language. Through a mastery of tailoring and layering, UJOH breaks down these rigid codes to unveil their true sense of freedom.

In this reinvented wardrobe, silhouettes embrace the stylistic subversions of the time : an oversized cardigan layered over an asymmetric skirt, defying prescribed rules; fluid leg warmers echoing the loose socks that defined a generation. A rebellion that still resonates today

Fabrics and materials
Brushed flannel twill : robust yet soft, it recalls uniform jackets worn and weathered over time.
Textured jacquard : an intricate interplay of ribbons and hand-cut threads, evoking the relief of fur, balancing structure and softness.
Wool gabardine : tightly woven and finished with a waxed treatment, it reveals a dense yet supple touch, enhancing the structure of the silhouettes.
Innovative quilting : injected with recycled polyamide fibres, its plush volume reimagines the warmth of winter school jackets.

Style
Oversized knits, as if the uniform had been chosen several sizes to big, defying the rigidity of standardized cuts.
Modular plastrons, to be tied or left flowing at will – a metaphor for an ever-evolving identity.
Alpaca swearers inspired by rugby polos, paired with yak wool leg warmers, a subtile echo of ‘90s silhouettes.
Shirts with transformative details, where button plackets morph intro lavallières or ribbon ties at the wriest.
Embroidered tulipes, honouring the Japanese tradition where each schoolchild is entrusted with a bulb to nurture through the seasons.
A silver badge engraved with the UJOH logo – its first appearance – reinterpreted as a school crest.

Color palette
Deep and timeless hues – dark chocolate, taupe, bottle green, and navy blue – elevated by vibrant accents : electric lime, sky blue, and delicate beige, bringing contrast and depth to the uniform’s understated elegance.

Brand Profile

After years of experience as pattern makers, Mitsuru Nishizaki and ACO established the brand UJOH in 2009. The brand, while respecting clean outlines, introduces a fresh approach to the art of tailoring, deliberately breaking conventions with asymmetrical and daring cuts.

UJOH’s elegant and sophisticated universe is crafted through the brand’s exploration of the intricate relationship between body and clothing. Reflecting the brand’s technical expertise, their collections combine innovative shapes that work in harmony with the human form. Small details are continuously reworked, offering unique styling and layering possibilities.

In 2019, they launched their men’s line. Consciously incorporating details from core elements of clothing tradition such as uniform and military, it remains true to their focus on genuine tailoring. UJOH made their debut at Paris Fashion Week with their 2021 Fall/Winter Collection and have since continued to present their latest creations in Paris with a global vision.
