Richerette by Richie Rich’s “Rocket Pop” NYFW Show Was a Bold Comeback for Fashion Veterans and the First Phase of the Returnof Legendary High-fashion Camp Queen ‘Heatherette’.

A strong message was sent out last night at the Richerette Spring/Summer 2025 runway show, as Richie Rich literally resurrected the magic of his iconic Heatherette brand with the dazzling debut of the new Spring/Summer 2025 collection at Circo Times Square. In a show that seamlessly blended high fashion with the glittering nostalgia of early 2000s camp, Richie Rich once again proved his unparalleled ability to turn the runway into a stage for creativity, rebellion, and pure joy.

This highly anticipated event was a reincarnation of Heatherette’s bold and fearless spirit, which once defined an entire era of fashion and pop culture. With a cast of celebrities and some of the industry’s most prolific influencers, the show was a triumphant return to form for Richie Rich, capturing the energy, color, and over-the-top glamour that Heatherette was known for. STEVE MADDEN provided all of the shoes for the show, part of their new exclusive collection that Richie consulted with the brand on.

Walking the runway with style and confidence, Jay Murray—fashion model, PR powerhouse, and rising LGBTQ+ icon—stole the spotlight alongside legends like Angela Simmons. Jay Murray embodied the fearless spirit of Heatherette, championing its legacy of inclusivity, individuality, and bold, boundary-shattering fashion with every step.

Richie Rich’s return to the runway saw the fusion of old-school extravagance with cutting-edge trends, showcasing looks that were both timeless and ahead of their time. The collection’s exuberant energy was matched by an incredible atmosphere consisting of celebrities and influencers such as Ty Hunter (Beyonce), Qveen Herby, and L’orenzo Hill-White. The show reached its crescendo with Angela Simmons, the surprise celebrity guest who closed the night in a custom, one-of-a-kind wrap dress creation designed to dazzle and delight.

Richie Rich, long hailed as a pioneer of camp fashion, has breathed new life into his brand’s legacy with ‘RICHERETTE’, embodying the rebellious, celebratory spirit that made Heatherette a cult phenomenon. This runway presentation wasn’t just about fashion—it was about recapturing the essence of an era, while also pushing the boundaries of modern style.

The show has set the stage for what promises to be the next great chapter in Richie Rich’s illustrious career, and the rebirth of a brand that shaped a generation.
