A unique collaboration with Atelier Dasha Tsapenko has resulted in five extraordinary pieces crafted from TG Botanical’s signature fabrics, transformed through innovative techniques inspired by the Savoy cabbage. Fungal inoculation, natural dyeing, and cabbage juice infusion breathe new life into the garments, creating organic, one-of-a-kind pieces that mirror the Earth’s constant renewal. TG Botanical is a sustainable fashion brand founded in 2021 by Ukrainian designer Tetyana Chumak. The brand produces modern women’s clothing with a focus on raw materials – fibers such as hemp, linen, cotton, and nettle. TG Botanical uses experimental methods of dyeing fabrics with plant pigments derived from tansy flowers, acorns, onion husks, and coffee beans. The brand pays special attention to ethical production methods.
TG Botanical’s first runway show took place as part of the official CPHFW FW23 program, where designer Tatyana Chumak became one of the three finalists for the Zalando Sustainability Award. The brand’s first independent show took place during the SS24 Copenhagen Fashion Week, and the brand has been a part of its schedule ever since.
