HUI Milano Spring Summer 2025 Le Grand Tour

Travel, understood as a quest for Great Beauty and, at the same time, as an opportunity for personal growth across time and space becomes the essence of HUI’s SS25 collection, “Le Grand Tour.”

The traditional itinerary among the wonders of Europe that young aristocrats undertook before their entry into society is combined with the brand’s indigenous matrix – centered in the ancient five-character poems of Du Fu from the Tang Dynasty – and its customary focus on women, suggested by the profile of famous female travelers capable of overcoming gender barriers and thus rewriting their lives. Such as the writer and traveler Sanmao, an icon of female independence and the protagonist of an existence with legendary overtones, and Wang Xiaomei, director and founder of the “Hands on Memory Museum,” who has made the protection of local artistic heritage the heart of her itinerant efforts. Women -muses to whom, once again, designer Zhao Huizhou has entrusted the evolution of her poetics to make them inspirational models for women in contemporary times.

Similarly, with the SS25 collection HUI orchestrates present and past in a powerful and dynamic feminine dialogue, enriched by her harmonic vision in which the softness of her idea of haute couture merges with the rigor of Italian-style design to achieve an impactful collision capable of contaminating universes seemingly at opposites. The result is a style in motion in which the simplicity and cleanliness of Western ancestry are mirrored in the subtle delicacy of Eastern culture. Starting from the favorite chromatic base, blue, which refers to the vastness of the sea and the sky that is echoed, in reflection, by the depth and wisdom of women. A fashion “to plough the waves and seek the sun” that features women dressed in the gentle softness of silk and wrapped in the comfortable warmth of cotton, shining spokesmen of beauty and character.

Pictorial patterns explode on the surface of their garments, among which one can recognize sea cliffs, a symbol of power in Chinese culture, and bouquets of butterflies and peonies, a paradigm of the feminine soul, made with the indigo dyeing technique typical of the Miao people, in which the brand’s ancient heritage is hidden. Once again, the right blend of tradition and innovation creates unique pieces in which the elegance and strength of women can be found, to accompany them on their unstoppable journey towards an ever-brightening and ever-changing future. In a word, infinite.
