Bold Fashion Choices That We’re Here for

Boldness is often thought to represent loudness, or designed to catch attention in some way; however, this isn’t necessarily the case. Instead, boldness refers to the ability to express yourself unapologetically and feel comfortable in the way you dress.

There isn’t a set rule to bold fashion but there are some ways that you can easily make a statement through your style. From signature prints to groundbreaking watches, we explore three of our favourite bold fashion choices you should include in your wardrobe.

Bold prints
One of the best ways of showcasing your vibrant personality is through bold prints. Fortunately, there are endless possibilities and you can incorporate these into both your everyday outfits and going-out attire. Whether you decide on colourful florals or striking graphics, bold prints are a certified way of making a fashion statement.

There is actually psychological reasoning behind our obsession with prints. For example, floral prints are reminiscent of our gardens, evoking feelings of femininity and freshness. Geometric patterns are a sign of modernity, ideal for displaying professionalism. Animal prints, which are constantly seen in fashion shows, are fierce, providing you with the confidence to conquer the jungle – or the catwalk.

Statement accessories
You don’t necessarily need to be bold in the clothing you wear; instead, you can take your outfit to the next level by introducing some statement accessories. The world is your oyster here, with accessories ranging from large earrings to chunky chokers or even a statement bag.

If you’re attending a formal event or you wish to include practical accessories in your everyday attire, then a watch could help you stand out from the crowd. From neon-coloured faces to two-tone straps and skeleton dials that reveal intricate engineering, there are plenty of watches suited to the bold and brave.

Bright colours
It’s easy to stay in our comfort zone when it comes to colours, sticking to neutral colours like black, white, or beige. And there’s nothing wrong with wearing these colours, but it can mean missing out on some bolder colours that really make your features pop.

Most colours fall under warm and cool categories, so it’s useful to be aware of these. Not all will match your skin tone, hair colour, and eye colour, meaning it’s a good idea to try various pieces on first and assess if the choice pairs well with the other components of an outfit.

Not ready just yet for colour head to toe? Start by adding accents to your wardrobe. By this, we mean small pockets of colour in your outfits; for example, start with brightly coloured accessories or jewellery. From there you can look to introduce a colourful shirt, skirt, or blazer. Before you know it, you’ll be experimenting with various colours and other types of clothing.
