The time has finally arrived where New York Fashion Week will be hosting his first fashion show with only visually impaired women.

From the creators of The Dwarf Fashion Show, the organisers will this time put the spotlight on the visually impaired community to empower women and reverse the diktats of beauty and break stereotypes.

For too long, people affected by vision loss have been the victims of discrimination. Thus, The National “Blind” Fashion Show to be held during next New York Fashion Week will celebrate with great pride Blind people’s contribution to social diversity.

UPTOWN FASHION WEEK FALL /WINTER EXCLUSIVE EDITION TO PROMOTE AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS

Uptown Fashion Week, New York — What has become the signature multicultural fashion event of New York City, Uptown Fashion Week founded its development on providing exposure for established, emerging and upcoming clothing designers from around the world in an effort to extend meaningful fashion trade. Accomplishing this has been an undertaking in nurturing opportunities for the publicity of international talents whose creative abilities are overflowing but financial resources are not. Uptown Fashion Week prides itself on continuing its work throughout the year to build bridges engaging community inclusion by leading events, social activities and diversity initiatives.

The UFW FW16 season this February will expand its interests to bring awareness to the world’s continued fight for human rights.

“We strongly believe that fashion is not just about dresses, shoes and brands, it is about the opportunity for human expression. Fashion can be utilized as a vehicle by which the rights of humans may be embraced, and discrimination may be combated. Improving the awareness, access and conditions of fundamental freedoms is in the best interest of our species as a whole.” Albania Rosario, founder of Uptown Fashion Week.

Uptown fashion week did much soul searching to reveal how we could best contribute to human rights efforts. The idea was developed in hopes of making the most constructive influence possible to something in which we powerfully believed. The answer, we are happy to say, came clear as a bell: gender equality.

As members of a strong, female-oriented sector of the market, it would be not only a less bountiful journey, but irresponsible, to push forward without the fuel and purpose of gender equality as a piston in what we consider our success. Society has made incredible strides in recent decades—in particular recent years—to this arena, but there is much work and awareness to be accomplished. We are people who indeed believe, as the novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie said, “in the social, political and economic equality of the sexes.”

Uptown Fashion Week is incredibly excited and humbled to also announce the support of the United Nations in our resolution for gender equality. Eric Ramazani, NGO representative at the UN, has been generous enough to take the reigns as our chief correspondent with the United Nations in assisting Uptown Fashion Week’s endeavors and impact. As Ramazani said, “I am a man of the unwavering belief that equality for women is a basic human right, benefiting us all.”

UFW THE SHOWS

With the top-notch guest list and international media coverage, Uptown Fashion Week reaches a multitude of consumers and continues to grow each year.
Last season’s show in september was a major success, providing to the fashion community that Uptown must be considered player in the New York City world of fashion.
Uptown Fashion Week is fast becoming the place to be for socialites, celebrities and those seeking an alternative to the over-saturated NYFW festivities.

With number of designers bringing new thoughts and ideas from around the world, Uptown Fashion Week has now established itself as a crucial stop on the fashion circuit.

FASHION 360 NYFW
Inauguration of New Creative Designers

On Friday, September 9, 2016 at 6pm in Little Italy’s Gelso & Grand – (186 Grand Street). Fashion 360 Magazine will hold their inaugural runway showcase “Fashion 360 New York Fashion Week”. 360NYFW is a new venture developed by the founders of Fashion 360 Magazine, Ikponmwosa Edorisiagbon (Ik) and George Rivera.

As entrepreneurs, Ik and George decided to create an event that highlights the talent found NY. After years of attending NYFW and working with major designers, they noticed the difficulties for talented designers to have a platform to showcase their clothing. Considering the rising fees for venues, staff, stylists, models, etc., a designer may have to obtain a loan to fulfill their dream. Designers are screened and interviewed before being selected by Ik. Two ascending designers were chosen to participate they are Morse Code by Dave DeStefano and D.O.L.L.designz by Jamane Fields. Each will showcase a unique talent and vision for everyone’s viewing pleasure.

Sponsors for the Fashion 360 NYFW show are Nuero drinks, Gelso & Grand, and Penguin Random House.

The show is complimentary to attend for buyers and press. The general public may attend for the price of $20. There will also be a sponsored after party at location following the show.

Yeroc Conquer Fashion Experience

The Yeroc theme of the show is VIKING based, which is to conquer and overcome one’s impediment- while highlighting the luxury eyewear.

The natural color elements of fall and winter will entail the white essence of winter wonderland, and candid frolic of fall, with the hint of sensory input, all at the cusp of the Viking passage.

The Yeroc eyewear will metaphorically encapsulate the human characteristics involving the unforeseen obstacles in life triumphed by one’s strength and courage- therefore symbolizing the CONQUER!

Our last fashion event was heralded by more than 1,000 people, with a line that wrapped around the block twice. Unfortunately, everyone was not admitted as we reached maximum capacity in under 10 minutes. Don’t miss another grand opportunity to experience the YEROC magic.

The official YEROC by Corey Woods runway show will commence at 8pm. The private show will consist of just 200 guests.

Street Fashion Week New York 2017
Feb 16 @ 12:00 am – 12:00 am
Street Fashion Week New York 2017

Street Fashion Week is a bi-annual production held in accordance with the global fashion calendar that seeks to propel and reinvigorate the conversation about emerging designer talent in a field commonly known as ‘urban’ or ‘street’ fashion by industry insiders and newcomers alike.

While what is more commonly known about ‘street’ fashion is limited to the latest drop from Supreme or capsule collection of Adidas or Billionaire Boys Club, ‘street’ fashion permeates every corner or the greater fashion world and is indeed a growing part of our culture.

Heavily associated with music and culture, ‘street’ fashion is embodied by and propelled through popular artists, particularly in rap and hip-hop such as A$AP Rocky, Kanye West, Pharell, Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs and so many more.

Street Fashion Week seeks to capture the essence of the culture and passion surrounding ‘street’ fashion, while creating a platform for emerging streetwear designers to comfortably explore their craft.

Société Fashion Accelerator & Pop Up Store Launch Event
Jun 9 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Location:
Bulletin Soho, 138 Wooster St, New York, NY 10012, USA

Prodigies of the Central European fashion scene compete in New York City

Société Fashion – the Budapest-based initiative redefining European fashion for the next generation, launching its Fashion Accelerator Program in New York City.

A new platform for the most promising fashion talents – Société Fashion Accelerator Program – provides creative professional environment to help young designers with a great commercial potential to grow. In a year-long program, it offers business mentoring, media coverage and networking opportunities, guiding six designer teams to reach their full potential in order to succeed on international markets.

12 shortlisted designers from Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia got a chance to be presented in front of the New York based selection committee of top- notch professionals from every aspect of the industry. During the selection meeting on the 8th of June in Spring Place, NYC, Eddie Mullon, Frederic Pinet, Stephanie Kirtley, Lisa Smilor, Mark Tevis and Martyna Panczak will choose six contestants who will win personalized brand-specific consultancy for a year. The talents of Central Europe will also have an opportunity to introduce their brands on international markets and promote their collections in the world’s fashion capitals.

One of the goals of our initiative is to provide the designer community with resources and skills inevitable in a global retail market of the future – says Martyna Panczak, Head of Société Fashion. We believe being one step ahead is a success factor and a true differentiator in today’s industry and this is what we want to convey very strongly to our designers.

The announcement of the winners will take place on the 9th of June, during the launch event at one of the hippest concept stores in New York – Bulletin Soho, frequented by trendsetters and influencers, giving exposure to outstanding young brands. Bulletin will also host Société Pop Up Store, where, for two weeks, New Yorkers will be able to purchase products of Central European designers.

The Fashion Week Gala

Remember when there was a fun community of people around fashion month?

When newcomers were welcome to mingle with established fashion week veterans?

We’re hoping to bring that vibe back, by gathering together friends and VIPs — old and new — for a special event to kick off fashion month this September.

On Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, 7 – 11 PM, Fashion Week Online will host the first annual Fashion Week Gala at the exclusive Domenico Vacca club in Midtown.

There will be a jazz band, a place for people to have their photo taken, and a mix of fashion industry veterans and newcomers to the fashion scene.

It will be an opportunity to mix and mingle, dress up, relax, socialize, and have fun among the fashion crowd on the first Friday of the fashion week season.

Look forward to canapés, drinks, giveaways, and other fun surprises.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Bringing together two of NYC’s most vibrant institutions, StylePointe is a platform for emerging fashion designers to showcase their collections in collaboration with dance choreographers during New York Fashion Week (NYFW).

Producer Sangeeta Yesley has once again invited emerging fashion designers with complete collections to submit work samples for her unique annual showcase. A series of wonderful collections were selected from five designers with diverse backgrounds and paired with five choreographers representing various dance styles who then created unique dance vignettes and assembled professional dancers to showcase each of the fashion collections.

This hybrid performance will take place on a runway-to-cat-walk and a floor-to-dance. Dixon Place lounge opens at 6:15 pm for a Special Cocktail Hour. VIP patrons will have exclusive seating and receive special product samples from sponsors. The duration of the show is approximately 60 minutes.
